My dear friends

I have visited YAADAGIRI GUTTA – Sri Nrisimha Kshetram which is just 65 kilometers from Hyderabad. It is a matter of just one hour plus drive from Hyderabad and one can come back within 5/6 hours from the time of leaving Hyderabad.

It is one of the ancient places and it is on hillock. Vehicle can be driven very nearer to the temple. There are number of choultries on the top of the hill and even AP Tourism Development Corporation is maintaining its PUNNAMI resort on the hill. One can feel very comfortable to stay there and refresh. This is with regard to the facilities available at the place.

The presiding deity is in a cave and along with the presiding deity, we can find SRI JWAALANRISIMHA, SRI YOGANANDA NRISIMHA, SRI LAKSHMI NRISIMHA AND SRI GANDA BHERUNDA NRISIMHA at one place. We have visited number of temples in Andhra Pradesh and otherwise also, but then this is a unique temple where four deities are present at one place.

People in and around Hyderabad district respect this temple utmost and we can find many families taking their children frequently to the temple seeking the blessings of the Lord.

A few kilometers away from the temple, nearer to the Bus station we find most ancient temple of PAATA NRISIMHA SWAMY where another unique feature is seen. Adjacent to the temple a single stone hillock is seen and on the top of the same, Lord Hanuman is worshipped. Interesting it is his foot steps are seen at different places in which water continuously flows.

On the way to Hyderabad, one can see SRI HANUMADEESWARA SWAMY TEMPLE at Surendrapuri. It is a recently build up 60/70 ft statue on one side we find FIVE FACES LORD HANUMAN AND ON THE BACK OF THE SAME STATUE FIVE FACED LORD SHIVA there upon the temple is named as HANUMADEESWARA temple.

This is one such good sign in the country which sends signals that there is no difference between Lord Shiva and Lord Vishnu.

Tomorrow ie on 27th August I am leaving along with my team to BIDAR to take the blessings of Lord JALA NRISIMHA SWAMY. I have already informed you sometime ago that it is a 200 meter length of a cave which is filled up with water and at the end we find SRI JALA NRISIMHA SWAMY. One has to walk the distance ONLY AND ONLY IN WATER to worship the Lord. Don’t believe – then try to visit the temple which is around 150 kilometers from Hyderabad near Zaheerabad.

The water in Srisailam Dam is an added attraction to the Jyothirlinga Stan. The Holy River Krishnaveni granted us all an opportunity of witnessing the power of the river. The water is falling into the river while rising to an admirable height of more than 1000ft. The entire roads are filled up with A RIVER LIKE drizzled water of the River. Every one is given an experience of seeing a rainfall while passing through the dam site.

The sky is full of fag like matter created by the showers of the River. It is something like a milk-chilling center. What is after all a man BEFORE THE MIGHTY NATURE? This is the appropriate time to see the dam site since water started flowing out so heavily for the first time within the past 10 years or so. When you visit do not forget to see the PHALA DHARA AND PANCHA DHARA. The Phaladhara is nothing but the water coming out of the head of Lord Shiva. The panchadhara is nothing but –the five branches of the river. His Holiness Sri Sri Sri Adishankara Bhagavatpada said to have spent much of his time here in meditation.

The Sikhara Dharshan is another important place. It is believed that those who can see the top of the temple from this spot said to have elevated from the rebirth cycle. It is situated at a height of 2830 ft from sea level. There is another temple nearer to this in the name of GODDESS KAMAKHYA. The stone idol of the Shrine appears to have been giving a CLEAR HUMAN TOUCH/SKIN TOUCH. We need to take the support of the local tribal to visit the place.

Yesterday we went to Vedadri to take the blessings of the SHRI YOGANANDA LAKSHMIN NARASIMHA SWAMY. The temple is said to have been here for the past few thousands of years. Even Sri Rama said to have worshipped this temple. The Vedic order of life of THIS LAND appears to have taken here initially. The place is situated just 15 kilometers from Jaggaiahpet in Krishna District. The road is good and it is lime stone area. Please visit and enjoy the Divine Lords presence beside the HOLY SALIGRAM in the river Krishna, due to the presence of which it is called as SALIGRAM KSHETRAM.

It is surely a long gap. I could not write anything about the HOLY MOUNT KAILASH AND MANASAROVAR so far. This gap period was that we were at the Holy Mount and returned back and later visited Puttaparthi etc places in the context of THE PROPOSED ASWAMEDHA YAGNA. I am trying my best to make out a detailed history of incidents that DESERVE to be brought to your notice. In the meantime for the past three days I was on my tour to SRISAILAM. Most of you perhaps seen this Holy and Jyothirlinga Stan. It is not only Jyothirlinga but this place is unique due to the conjunction of one of the ASTADASA SAKTI PEETHAMS.

The thirstiness to invent new and discover THE UNKNOWN DIVINITY IN THE COUNTRY, my vehicle took a turn to MAHESWARAM – a place just 30 kilometers from Hyderabad on the way to Srisailam, but additional 6 kilometers to the west. It is SIMPLY AN AMRITSAR OF THE SOUTH in one word. The details of the origin of the temple is no where seen but then according to the history, the temple was RENOVATED BY THE then the MINISTERS OF GOLCONDA – AKKANNA AND MAADANNA. Later during the time of AURANGAJEB the temple was destructed. The ruins are now again taken to a shape. The temple is in the name of SRI SHIVA GANGA RAAJA RAJESWARI LORDS. The temple is in the midst of a temple tank surrounded by eight Shiva temples on the top of the bank of the tank. The beauty of the construction of the tank has to be experienced than for description. Government has done nothing for it, it appears, but then the local people are trying their best to renovate and bring the temple the PAST GLORY AND MAJESTY. Another important thing, which I noticed in this temple is that, Lord Shiva is on the top of the temple when Goddess in the ground floor. Please make sure to visit this most ancient temple during your next trip to Srisailam or exclusively for this purpose.

On my way back to Hyderabad from Srisailam, immediately after crossing the Ghat section of the Forest, the wheels of my vehicle took a turn and in the Southern side, they lead me to a hill and again a different Ghat Section where I was granted permission by LORD UMAMAHESWARA to take his blessings. The temple is on the hilltop and very comfortable road is laid upto the temple. I found Paapa Nasanam – in the name of NARIKELA TEERTHAM. There are innumerable caves in the area, which speak that great people in the past meditated to attain DIVINITY. Every stone in the area speaks the ancient history of the temple. The water falls and the comfortable atmosphere makes any one to relax and rejuvenate the strength. Though it is interior to the main road just about 10/15 kilometers, it is surely a place worth visiting.

I was quite impatient to keep silent on these important temples, therefore soon after returning back I started giving you this description with a view that you will enjoy the NEWS.

I just returned from my Sri Sailam trip after taking the blessings of the Holy Lords for the proposed Sri Aswamedha Yaagam in the month of December.

This paper gradually crossed its centenary period second time. This speaks of the respect my friends give to this newsletter. I thank you all on behalf of SURYAKSHETRA. Shortly Kailash and Manasarovar is going to accommodated in this HOLY PAPER which is trying to give you some positive and concrete information on factual lines.

This paper we start with LORD SHIVA of Samalkot. Samalkot is a prominent Railway Junction place situated on the main railway highway of Chennai-Howrah. One has to change the train to reach Kakinada Port – seashore where from lot of Import and Export is taking place today.

According to the ancient scripts Lord Vishnu cut Linga into five portions and they fell in five different places which are considered as FIVE ARAMA KSHETRAAS.

Arama is a word normally used by BUDDHISTS. Leaving the literary background of the word, I desire to mention that there are FIVE ARAMA kshetraas – places of Importance for Lord Shiva in Andhra Pradesh. They are the Linga of Tarakeswar installed by Lord Indra at Amaravati in Guntur District of Andhra Pradesh; Draksharameswar installed by Lord Daksha in Draksharaamam in East Godavari District; Kshereerameswar installed by Lord Vishnu in Palakollu in West Godavari District; Bheemaarameswar installed by the Lord Moon in Bhimavaram of West Godavari District; and Kumararameswar installed by Lord Kumaraswamy in Samalkot. This is a very big Linga to 10-ft height.

One has to visit this place invariably to know the past Indian Glory. It is quite ancient temple built in two stories and even one has to climb up to the first floor to worship Lord. The stone carvings present the artistic beauty respected by the ancient kings of India. Even today such temple can not be built when we consider ourselves as most modern and advanced. According to the history available the temple was built between 892-922 AD by Turpu Chalukyulu who ruled the area then. 27 orders are available inscribed on Stone today which are dated back to 1147-1494 AD.

Goddess Baala Tripurasundari and other Indian Gods are present including Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi in the temple complex.

ONE SHOULD UNDERSTAND THAT THE ANCIENT INDIANS DID NOT FIND ANY DIFFERENCE BETWEEN LORD VISHNU AND LORD SHIVA according to the available structure of today. Only people who try to establish themselves as superiors started discrimination to establish their superiority duly forgetting that they are damaging the Hindu Society by creating factions between Hindus. This individual supremacy is more harmful to Hindu culture than the damage from outside. The seers and Masters of different sects in Hindu Religion must realize this fact and atleast do something CONSTRUCTIVE from now on, else they are said to have been planting poisonous seeds for an infight between Hindus to weaken themselves over a period of time.

BORRA CAVES IN VISAKHAPATNAM DISTRICT.

We have seen many caves in this country particularly in Himalayan ranges and some caves in US too. The cave in Dallas –Texas thrilled us when we saw a board “Assembly of Indian Gods” in the cave. No where on the earth Gods of other religions can be seen in the forms in which Indian Gods can be seen. Some are shaped as SHIV LINGAS and some in the shape of Lord Hanuman. Some resemble Rama Lakshamana and some in the shape of Goddess Lakshmi, and some in the shape of the five-headed serpents and so on. Interestingly only Indian Gods can be seen in different shapes in different caves all through the Globe. The name of mother of the most famous Lord – Sri Venkateswara might not be known to many Indians but surely known to people of US when they refer to Florida State and look at the places of tourist importance. VAKULLA SPRINGS is most famous there. It is not known as to why the spring is named after the mother of Lord Venkateswara. By and large, any one can see or hear the names of Indian Lords all thro the Globe.

In the instant case, some time ago – may be few thousands of years ago – Gostani River was said to have flown through the biggest cave of the Asia. It is still a matter of investigation for the science to know the genesis of human being and some say the human beings migrated from African Country. All that may be for the past 10000 years or so. But the Archeological Department found the human remains in this cave, which are said to be dated back to a million years. Does that mean the human inhabitants are from India originally – probably the universal scientists do not prefer to agree? For any reason world is not in a position to accept the ancient culture of India. The NASA Satellite program declared that the ancient bridge between Dhanushkoti and Srilanka was dated back to 17,50,000 years and they said that this was the likely period of Lord Rama ruling the continent and fought the demon by name Ravana then. Indirectly all that means, the Indian culture and civilization is quite unique and quite ancient one. For the simple matter, The Buddhist caves of Ajantha and Ellora dated back to 3000 BC is present in India today. Several facts appear before us when once we look at the facts unbiased and fairly. It does not matter where from civilization commenced, but surely it matters to accept the facts of Life.

Borra Caves are situated 92 kilometers from Vizag and RIVER GOSTANI SAID TO have flown through this biggest cave. We can see the joint of two hills in the cave. The length of the cave is still not known but as it stands it is spread to a kilometer. The height of the cave is more than 50 ft, and in three floors. Several Indian Lords can be seen in the cave through the STALACTITE AND STALAGMITE formations. Several secrets appear to have hidden in the cave. The caves are in the midst of Dandakaranya Forests. Though William King said to have first invented this cave in 1807 AD, but it is an established fact that human remains were found dated back to a million years.

The strength of the cave is visible when the iron ore contents in wagonloads are taken to Visakhapatnam from the top of this cave. It is surely a heavy load and several trains pass thro the spot every day. Logically it speaks of its strength. The Tourist department made special arrangements to pump oxygen etc into the cave to safeguard the tourist. The natural SHIVA LINGA is really a rich place for an Indian Spiritual personality. Goddess Sita appear to have taken bath here and in token of it EVEN TODAY the turmeric colored water flows from the Stone bed area. It is not Sulphor water, but really something unique. One can enjoy a total of a day in the cave observing lot many things – things of natural interest; things formed for the past million years.

I believe that you have gone thro my earlier mail mentioning about my trip to Visage and other places. This time I visited Arab Valley along with my wife. 24th and 25th we were there requesting the local tribal to show us the way to visit ancient Goddess temple of the tribes. The temple is situated in the village itself and it is named as GANGAMMA TALLI TEMPLE. Surrounding villages too worship this Goddess and it is very big idol along with an 8-foot length of snake pit.

Araku Valley is situated around 3100 ft above sea level. Visakhapatnam –Kirandul trains pass through the place. It is really a worthy journey in the train when particularly the train passes through 52 plus caves one of which is more than 1 kilometer length. We can enjoy many valleys and greenery in any season. However, summer is not a right time to visit this place though it is considered as OOTY OF A, but we had very bad experience as HOT OOTY OF AP, and the Tourism Development Corporation failed to provide water and current to the tourists particularly in MAYURI GUEST HOUSE. As and when you desire to visit this place, I SUGGEST YOU TO PREFER PUNNAMI RESORT where swimming pool and other facilities help you to feel comfortable.

Nearly 25 kms away from Araku, there is yet another worthy spot at Dumbriguda CHAPARAI which is 3215 ft above sea level, where water constantly flows. Since water flows through a very big stone mat, it is called as CHAPARAI.

ARAKU in Telugu is nothing but red soil. There is another very very important worth seeing place – it is called as PADMAPURAM GARDENS. The Government is taking special interest to help the tribes to realize the importance of herbal plants. It is more or less a promotional activity. We can see CAMPHOR TREE, CHAKRAMANI that is vitamin rich of its quality; SARPAGANDHI for hypertension; KALABANDA for Diabetes; CARDAMOM; PEPPER AND many such. The spicy material like Dalchina Chekka, Sunamukhi etc can also be seen. It is worth visiting since one can know what the plant is and how it looks like.

It is really a place worth visiting once but take care so enjoy by booking a proper place – PUNNAMI HOTELS (YATRI NIWAS) only and their phone number is 08936 249490. We are not fortunate to stay in this hotel, but after physical verification we found that this is the best hotel in the locality. You may contact Central Reservation Office in Hyderabad through phone 040 23298456/57. Probably you need to book the accommodation in advance of say more than three months for your stay in November to January and THAT IS THE ONLY BEST TIME WHEN YOU CAN ENJOY ARAKU VALLEY REALLY.

Now it is time for us in this series of letters, to reach Chennai for onward journey back to Hyderabad. Chennai is not a temple town like Bhubaneswar, but there are many ancient and age old temples and worth visiting places in Chennai. It has long history behind it. To day I am taking you to one of the most ancient the history of which is dated back to 2006 years or so from now. In other words, the available historical evidences speak of this time, surely it is much older than what is known. The temple is SRI KAPAALEESWARAR TEMPLE in Mylapore.

Back to the history, MR PTOLEMY one of the great Greek Geographer visited this temple between 90-168 A.D and described this temple as one of the best temples which he has visited and where he found lot of divinity. Even St. Thomas one of the Apostles of Jesus visited this Holy place in 2nd Century. We are gradually ignoring the greatness of our land, but others duly respect and praise the civilization, which had a landmark during such ancient times. The construction and architectural beauty of the temple was much praised by the visitors. In other words, to be precise and clear, technology developed far and far beyond our expectations, in ancient India long long before.

Mayil in Tamil is the name of PEACOK. It appears that the present area of Mylapore was the land where lot many peacocks were existent. The name MYLAPORE is otherwise is the name of land of Peacocks. Goddess Uma worshipped Lord Kapaleeswarar in this area and after her marriage with the Lord her name turned out as GODDESS KARPAGAMBAL. There is a very big temple tank just outside the boundary wall of the temple, but then it is totally dried up. As seen in most parts of the country the ground water table has gone down and as a result all most all the temple tanks in India – the water ponds for daily usage and for festivals got dried up. Rahu kaal pooja is yet another attraction in this temple. Many grand events take place as per Tamil calendar in this temple and huge crowds gather.

The temple was in the hands of Portuguese till 1566 AD. The present temple is the renovated one, which took place 300 years back.

It appears that much more information about this temple is available in an ancient local Church. Any way this is a temple worth visiting to take the blessings of Lord Kapaaleeswarar.

Now it is time for us to go Narayanavanam where Lord Sri Venkateswara got himself married to Goddess Padmavathy. Goddess Padmavathy is the daughter of Akashraju – the king of the area. Narayanavanam is around 5 kilometers from Puttur. This is another highway to Chennai from Tirupathi. Puttur is nearly 65 kilometers from Tirupathi on Tirupathi-Chennai Highway. One road goes to Chennai via Narayanavanam and the other is a bye pass. Goddess Padmavathy was traced on Golden Lotus while developing the land for performing a Yagna by the name of PUTRAKAAMESHTI. The Lotus is called as PADMAM and since the Goddess is seen on a Lotus she is named as PADMAVATHY. In due course of time Lord Sri Venkateswara desired to marry Goddess and their marriage was performed at Narayanavanam. In token remembrance of the great incident, a temple was constructed for Lord Sri Venkateswara. Their marriage was performed on bright Dasami – the tenth day of Vaisakha month of Sri Vilambi Naama Samvat. That was a Friday.

Today we can see Lord Sri Venkateswara with a long Knife – Khadgam in the left hand, kalyana kankanam to the right hand. This temple was taken over by TTD from Karveti Nagar Samsthan on 29th April 1967. One can comfortably visit the temple from Tirupathi by the timings of the temple are of little inconvenience. The temple remain closed between 12 noon and 4.p.m.

According to the local aged people, the area was a thick forest till recently and now it is turned out to be a concrete jungle. Weaving appears to be a major activity for the villagers here.

Just a few yards from the Main temple, we can see SORAKAAYA SWAMI SIDDHAYOGI JEEVA SAMADHI. One great sage used to stay in these parts helping the villagers with his Sorakaya – an Akshaya Paatra. There is no mention about the age of the sage and finally on the Hasta Star – Saturday, Garuda Panchami of Sobhakrit Samvat i.e. on 29th July of 1903 – to say 102 years ago he went into his Jeeva Samadhi.

A little more than 50 yards from the temple we can see Goddess Champakavalli Sametha Sri Paraasareswar Swamy Shiva Temple appear to have been installed by the great sage Agastya of ancient times. Interestingly for all Lord Shiva Temples of these parts, we find Lord Vishnu as Anga Devata. This again speaks that there is no difference between LORD VISHNU AND LORD SHIVA. It is quite an ancient temple and it is worth visiting.

Six Kilometers from Narayanavanam – around two kilometers from Tirupathi-Chennai highway, we find a wonderful waterfall in the nooks of a hill called as KAILASA KONA. We have visited the place and found seven wells with water coming out of them constantly. The wells are situated on the hilltop and the waterfall is generated from this point. At the bottom, we find a small cave where in Lord Shiva grants us darshan. The great Sage Agastya appears to have worshipped the idol for long time. The presiding deities are named as KAAMAKSHI SAMETHA KAILAASANADHEESWARA SWAMY. It is KAILASAKONA and I request all of you to enjoy the waterfall and a nice bath. Fortunate we are, people are available there for massaging the body. It is a spiritual and re-energizing spot.

Before taking you to the Narayanavanam in Chittoor District, I desire to take you to the footsteps to the Lord of seven hills. Most of us know that the steps at Alipiri are the main steps and safe steps to Tirumala. Factually these steps are taken care by the TTD more cautiously than the steps at the other side of the hill from Sreenivasa Mangapuram. It is not known why TTD did not pay attention to this aspect so far, however it appears that they have identified the need to renovate the footpath from Sreenivasa Mangapuram side too.

It was very good drizzle on 27th of April when we decided to climb the hill from Sreenivasa Mangapuram side. It was our practice to start climbing the hill during nighttime in the calm and cool atmosphere. We did not dare so far to climb up the hills in the midst of a hot summer day. But then fortunately the good drizzle cooled down the atmosphere and we really enjoyed each step when the rain/mud associated new fragrance started touching our nose and refreshing us every moment. The thick forest atmosphere and the sounds of the birds thrilled us and quite amused us. IT IS JUST A THREE KILOMETERS WAY when compared to the 8 kilometer way from Alipiri. The steps are just 6 kilometers road distance from Sreenivas Managapuram temple and one may have to take an auto due to improper frequency of the road transportation buses.

The TTD started renovating the steps and constructed the new steps in a most scientific manner where one has to climb up two or three steps and walk a yard or so before climbing up again. But at one point of time the steps are steep up and it is surely not a strenuous job.

There are two ancient structure constructed by the Kings of Chandragiri Fort in between. I have noticed stone-carved Lord Ganesh at different parts on these structures, which speaks of the intention of the rulers of those days to avoid difference between HARI AND HARA. In other words there is no difference between Saiva and Vaishnava Siddhanta. This is much more wanted these days in HINDU RELIGION.

One can also enjoy touching the lotus feet of SRIVARU – Lord Venkateswara WHILE climbing up this side. Perhaps on account of this, this particular route is called as SRIVARI METTU.

A nature lover must climb up this side so that different colors of the trees, their leaves, flowers besides the melodious tones of birds together with the forest beauty – makes the visit most memorable in life. But at present it is not advised to take this path during night times though sufficient lighting arrangements are made by the TTD. Ultimately the steps will reach the top of the hill behind Woodlands hotel. One can also see how difficult it is to pump water from Kalyani dam sources to meet the need of the pilgrims at Tirumala. Normally water flows down to the low level, where as water is pumped up all the way through very big pipes to keep the pilgrims comfortable at the top of the hill.

Everything is possible at the footsteps of Lord.

In Chandragiri itself, we find two more temples of ancient times. One is Sri Rajarajeswari, Moolastana Ellamma temple – Goddess of the town. By the name itself we can observe that there are three Goddesses by the names of Sri Rajarajeswari, Sri Moolastanamma and the third one Ellamma. We have found the temple as an ancient one by its looks and by its construction and other aspects. On an enquiry we got the information that the temple was established by the great sage by name Agastya. This sage appears to have dominated in establishing temples and idols in these parts of the State of Andhra Pradesh. Even the sage has written the lives of most of us centuries ago and preserved them in palm leaves which are available in many parts of Tamilnadu. WONDER IT IS, THE LIVES OF PEOPLE OF TODAY ARE CLEARLY DESCRIBED BY THE SAGE INCLUSIVE OF THE NAMES OF PARENTS, BROTHERS AND SISTERS IN THE FAMILY AND CLEAR DATE OF BIRTH AND HOROSCOPE WHICH WILL INVARIABLY TALLY WITH THE ONE WHICH IS ALREADY PREPARED BY OUR PARENTS AT THE TIME OF BIRTH AS PER INDIAN ASTROLOGICAL SCIENCES.

How the GREAT sage conceived that so and so will born after a few centuries and leads a specific type of life and so on- is a real matter of wonder and surprise. Incidentally all these palm leaves are in Tamil language and they are to be read by a language expert. There are many trained personnel in this field.

We have deviated from the main topic, back to the temple; we have seen a rare UGRA PRATYANGIRA DEVI idol in this temple. It is surely a rare one since we have not come across any such anywhere so far in our visits. By and large it is place worth visiting basing on its ancient structure and of religious importance.

Just a few yards from the aforementioned temple, there is one more Goddess temple of Vasavi Kanyaka Parameswari. We find temples of this Goddess in nooks and corners of Andhra Pradesh today particularly, but then most of them are of recent times. Where as this temple is age old and interestingly this temple is having NAVAGRAHA MANDAPAM where the Navagrahaas are installed with their wives. We see only Navagrahaas in many temples mostly they are nine idols without wives. Contrary to the usual nature, this temple is having Navagraha mandapam with the wives of the Nine ruling Lords of lives of all of us.

There is no need to take extra strain to visit these two temples for the reason they are on the main high way and on our way to Chandragiri Fort.

Thanks to the TTD for having introduced the Sudarshan Token system due to which pilgrims are forced to wait for a day or so in Tirumala/Tirupathi. It is a golden time for the pilgrim to visit in and around places of Tirupati/Tirumala so that they will have an opportunity to assess the greatness of the LAND OF THE LORD besides taking the blessings of the Lords of different times.

It is now time for me in these series of informative letters encircling Lord Venkateswara of Tirumala, to take you another four kilometers from Thondavada, to a total distance of around 15 kilometers from Tirupati. It is the mighty KINGDOM of Royala Dynasty. It is difficult for any one to forget Sri Krishna Devaraya who ruled the Vijayanagar Kingdom from Hampi. What Kind Krishna Devaraya has something with the Chadragiri Fort – may be a question to be put to me now by you. To see the role of Krishna Deva Raya, probably I may have to take you to 966 AD. This Fort was built by that time and in the later part of the century and sometime afterwards as per historical evidences, The great Hari Hara Raayalu and Bukka Rayalu built Vijayanagar Empire. Lord Hampi Virupaaksha was the family Lord of the Rayala Family. They ruled most parts of today Andhra Pradesh, Tamilnadu, Maharashtra, and Karnataka with HAMPI as their capital. The family flourished well and established under the rule of SALUVA NARASIMHA RAYALU. He established himself as one of the best rulers and in was in 1426 A.D, he visited Tirumala and that took up time the Chandragiri Fort had a weak ruler and the Fort by Saluva Narasimha Rayalu. From that time Chandragiri gained importance and turned out be a landmark in the family history of Hampi Rulers.

Rayala Family honored the Great Poet Gowda Dindima Bhattu and Kavi Sarvabhowma Srinadh at this Fort. After some time The Second Singarayalu who ruled Hampi had a tough time with Adilshah of Bijapur when the Singarayalu obtained support from the Navab of Golconda and successfully fought the war against the Sultan of Bijapur. It was exactly during this period the rulers of Chandragiri Fort built the temples and shelters at Tirumala. The life of the rulers of Chadragiri was linked to the Lord of Seven Hills.

Soon the famous kind Krishna Devaraya came to power and he contributed his best to the Tirumala Lord. The eyebrows are up and wrinkles of smile are seen on any body face on hearing the name of TENALI RAMAKRISHNA. He was one of the poets out of eight great poets in the Krishna Devaraya Court. Chandragiri Fort witnessed the humorous fight of Tanali Ramakrishan and Kasi Pundit making the TILAKASHTA MAHISHA BANDHANAM as a media. By 1529 A.D the health condition of King Krishna Devaraya deteriorated and Achutaraya – the son of Krishna Devaraya who was the commander in charge of Chandragiri Fort, was crowned as the Emperor of Vijayanagara Kingdom uniquely at the Lotus feet of Lord Venkateswara at Tirumala. The great poets Purandaradas and Annamaacharya together composed many praising Lord Venkateswara at this Fort. Over a period of time the subsequent rulers of Hampi were forced to surrender their Hampi Fort to the Sultan of Bijapur and took shelter in the Chandragiri Fort. But then the rulers found themselves financially in a bad shape and it was exactly these circumstances forced them to enter into a treaty with the East India Company. On 22nd August 1639 a lease agreement was also signed between the East India Company and the ruler of Chandragiri Fort. But even this has not helped the Rayala Family well, and later in 1642 A.D the emperor was forced to escape to Mysore to save himself and the Chandragiri Fort went into the hands of Navab of Golconda. The present comforts pilgrims enjoy at Tirumala are on account of the stepping stones laid down by the rulers of Chandragiri Fort.

One may surely shed tears on seeing the ruins of the Chandragiri Fort and beautifully carved stones, which speaks of their heroic period in the recent history.

Light and Sound Show is arranged at Chadragiri Fort by AP Tourism Development Corporation and the show starts at 07.00-p.m. everyday. It is equally important for any pilgrim to visit this place and know the history behind the Lord of Seven Hills.

I had already passed on an information about my trip to Tirumala and other places between 25th April and today. My dear friends, visiting of a place are one aspect, looking at it in a different angle is yet another aspect. Many of you must have visited quite number of times the Holy place TIRUMALA – at least once by now. Usually when we plan to visit Tirumala we feel like taking darshan of the Lord as quickly as possible and return back. May be, we do not give any IMPORTANCE for other things other than the Holy Lord, or we do not have much time to pay attention to other things either on our way to or our return.

I too would have returned back, but then when we believe that the Lord himself is present at Tirumala, I looked at the other side of the coin and started thinking that there should have been other Lords in and around the Holy place in an unusual manner, since the Lord himself proved himself unusually on this earth. The places normally we visit include Kapila Teertham, Govindarajaswamy temple, Paapa Naasanam, Alivelu Mangapuram etc. But there are many other places which are NAARAYANA VANAM, TONDAVADA, APPPALAYA GUNTA, KAILASA KONA, BUGGA, SRINIVASA MANGAPURAM, KARVETI NAGARAM, CHANDRAGIRI, NAAGALAPURAM, SADASIVA KONA, and AND MANY MORE.

They are surely not places of ordinary nature; to start with I am taking you to the first place THONDAVADA. Thondavada is situated on the banks of Suvarna Mukhi River just 12 kilometers from Tirupathi on Tirupathi-Chittoor high way. Lord Venkateswara, after his marriage said to have spent 6 months in this holy place as per Bhavishyottara Puranam. The great sage AGSTYA MAHAAMUNI perhaps spent much of his life time in these parts only. His life is linked to Lord Venkateswara as per the authoritative information available in many parts of the places mentioned above. The place is a Sangamam of three rivers SUVARNAMUKHI -KALYANI-BHIMA and most unfortunately as is found in many other places, NOT A SINGLE DROP OF WATER IS seen in this river too. Even sand is disappearing and this is yet another story or our bad administration on water management. Lord Venkateswara Vishnu Paadaalu is available in the river. Factually it is the place of Sage Agastya and it is said that Lord Venkateswara after his marriage with Goddess Padmavathy worshipped the Holy Lord AANANDAVALLI SAMETHA AGSTYEESWARA SWAMY at this place. Later Goddess Mahalakshmi appeared here and from here she left for Kolhapur in Maharashtra. Even to day we can see Goddess Lakshmi idol here in a different manner in the temple.
I suggest you to touch the lotus feet of Goddess and I am sure each of you enjoy beyond description. Next time when you visit Tirumala please do not forget to take the blessings of Holy Goddess even when you plan to visit Kanipakkam in Chittoor district. This temple is just a kilometer inside from the highway. We are now proceeding to Chandragiri Fort……………..

I am once again presenting one unique experience I had today when I visited Nacharam Gutta in Medak district. The place is situated nearly 30 kilometers plus from Bowenpally on Nizamabad – Nagpur Highway and before entering Toopran a turn is to be taken towards Gajwel State High Way and just 2 kilo meters from the National High Way, on the State High way road itself the temple is situated. It is in Vargil Mandal of Medak District. It is a small hillock with number of cave like curves.

I have come to know about the place through a like minded person who described that one Sadhu Maharaj gives his divine appearance now and then at the spot. It appears he visits the place uninvited and spends some time there and disappears. Ofcourse though this becomes the inspiration for the journey, I give the details of the spot and what I have seen there along with my wife and other friends.

The spot is a clear indication of existence of good number of caves. In one of the cave Lord Ugra Narasimha gave his divine appearance as SWAYAMBOO. The place is on the bank of HARIDRA RIVER a tributary to river Manjira. NOT A DROP OF WATER IS SEEN NOR ANY INDICATION OR SIGN FOR WATER HAVING FLOWN IN THE RECENT PAST.

Probably the river might have its past glory as in the case of many rivers today in India.
The Kshetra Paalaka for the area is LORD BHAIRAVA SWAMY. People used to fear to enter into the cave due to the fear of Lord Ugra Narasimha Swamy. Later the local people installed Goddess Lakshmi and reshaped the cave so that the Lord is seen straight to a devotee instead of entering into the dark cave. The presiding deity is facing Southeast.

After long long time we have seen well with water in the temple premises. The depth of the well is not much but then the water is perennial. Even when the river dried up, the temple well is a source of life there. Of late, we do not know the reason why Lord Narasimha Swamy is blessing us to visit his temples; often we are taking blessings from him. There appears to be eight more temples of the Lord in and around the area, but then time did not permit us to visit all of them.

There is a SWAYAMBHOO Lord Hanuman too in the cave. There are other temples like that of Lord Shiva; Navagraha Temple; temple for Lord Satyanarayana Swamy; temple for Lord Datta Sai; temple for Lord Raama in the same complex. Only Lord Hanuman deity appears to be of ancient ages and all others of recent origin. The entire cave is carved properly so that the pilgrims have no inconvenience to move around. By and large, uniquely it is a temple of LORD HARI AND LORD HARA depicting itself with no differences between SHIVA AND KESAVA.

Our AANANDAASHRAMAM is hardly 5 kilometers from the temple. It is quite visible that IT IS ONE OF THE ANCIENT TEMPLES OF INDIA WITH SOME RICH TRADITIONAL BACKGROUND. We are making out further study to know its genesis etc. The temple is under Endowments control. More about this in due course of time…………………...

This time I am forced to keep other usual subjects which are in forefront for discussion on this paper, to pay little more attention than needed onto an ancient place which GRANTED US PERMISSION FOR US TO VISIT AND ENJOY ITS HISTORICAL BEAUTY. For a while I am taking you to the centuries old historical place/temple called Sri Veerachala Jeedikallu in Lingala Ghanapur Mandal of Warangal District. The place is situated around 85 kilometers from Hyderabad and part of the temple is in Nalgonda district. In other words the situation of this temple is in between the borderline of both the districts.

As per Brahmanda Puranam – Uttara Khandam, long long back Lord Sri Ram appeared to have visited this place and according to the chief priest, the area is named as DANDAKAARANYA. From here Lord Sriram appears to have released his arrow on the golden deer. Just four kilometers from the main temple, there is another spot where Lord appears to have kneeled down. In token of it, there is a very small spot of 12X12X12 inches dimension in which water oases. We tried to dry the spot but in vain. Soon the little pond started filling up with water. Incidentally the spot is on a single granite stone rock. The entire area is single granite stone and the spot is located on it.

Back to the main temple, the spot is on a single granite stone hillock on the top of which there are two ponds called PAALAGUNDAM AND JEEDIGUNDAM. We could not gather accurate information about their depth, but surely they appear to be quite deep enough. The third one is the main Pond called by the name of Lord Rama and the temple does not possess any idol, but the pond itself is worshipped. The word JEEDI is denoted for BLACK and KALLU for STONE. Probably JEEDIKALLU is nothing but BLACK GRANITE STONE ROCK. Wonder it is as to how the ponds appear on the hillock and do not get dried even in summer. For quite some centuries, pilgrims offer pumpkins etc in token gratitude of their being blessed with children. Most of the children are named after JEEDIKALLU RAMACHANDRA MURTHY which is apparently a reflection of people’s confidence on the Lord in these parts of both the districts particularly and in other parts of Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra State as per the information gathered by us. This ancient temple is under the governance of State of Andhra Pradesh and AS USUAL large number of tourists can not visit this Holy Place due to non-availability of transportation and other facilities.

WONDERS OF TAMBOOLAM – INDIAN TRADITIONAL SYSTEM

In continuation I desire to give you some more authenticated and material information about the medicinal values of the other ingredients earlier informed.

Perhaps this becomes the last letter with regard to the information on this topic. We have our principle not to exceed any topic beyond a page as such this topic is continued on four different sheets. Now………

Cardamom : It is normally grown in Malabar area of South India. There are two varieties – the small one where the seeds are smaller; the big one which is white in color but contains seeds of bigger size. However there is no qualitative difference in both of them. This is liked even in cooking in many parts of India and in other Asian countries too. This is also used in syrups for its best fragrance. Many sages have appreciated the value of this wonder seed for the reason it subsides thirstiness and creates appetite. It is a good and natural mouth refresher. It is called ELACHI in Hindi and also in sanskrit. It is the best advised particularly in Kidney related problems. It is one of the spices of the best quality. This can be even chewed and it is better than the chemically made chewing gum.

Cary Ophyllus Aromatieus: It is otherwise called as Lovang in Hindi and Sanskrit. In literal terms of sanskrit it is called as DEVA KUSUMA, Sri Pushpa, Lovong and in most of the other Indian languages it is called as LOVANG. It is normally grown in Zanzibar islands. It gives flowers six years normally after its plantation. It is plucked with its petals and calyx tube which contains inside the stamens or male threads and inside deep in it, it contains style or female part. The entire part is plucked and dried and for all practical purposes it can be treated as a flower. It is crushed and oil is extracted from it which is the best for many ailments particularly that of the mouth and the tooth. It is considered to be the best in Nerves related problems and continued head ache, further in TB etc lungs related problems. For Asthmatic patient it is said to be a God given gift. It is quite strong in its taste and it has many medicinal values.

Now when we sum up and see all the ingredients suggested along with a PAN appear to be of great value for a perfect health. Perhaps on observing the greatness, our sages suggested and introduced a systematic procedure of making a pan and offering to the Lord and ultimately consumed by us.

For all practical purposes, the Indian Traditional Systems are one way or the other related for the best welfare of all of us. It is not to be misunderstood and worshipping of a Lord using so many items are meant for the LORD ONLY. The Indian traditional system is an indirect quite well disciplined approach for all of us to inculcate healthy habits so that we can live long --- and live quite comfortably without any supplementary application of medicines. It is an in-built medical technology advocated by our sages since thousands of years.

WONDERS OF TAMBOOLAM – INDIAN TRADITIONAL SYSTEM

In continuation I desire to give you some more authenticated and material information about the medicinal values of the other ingredients earlier informed.

JAIPHAL: It is called as Myristica Fragrans Nutmeg It is normally grown in Sumatra, Java Islands and in some parts of Ceylon and Malabar area in India. It is from a flower and seed base. The leaves of the flower as well the seeds are used in sweets. This is particularly occupying some space in Indian Kitchens due to its nice smell and fragrance. It has excellent oil content and it spreads through the body very quickly. It creates appetite and it is recommended to improve vitality. It arrests offensive breath and works as a healer for wounds in the mouth. I really feel incapable to express the greatness of this on this small paper. Both the flower leaves and the seed are used in the pan in most of the parts in India.

SAFFRON: It is called as Crocus Sativus. It is grown in Kashmir in India; Spain; France; and some other parts of Europe. It is deep red in color and it is a part of the leaves of a flower. It is of quite lightweight and very costly due to insufficient supply. It is used in most of the dishes commonly in Europe and in India is used either in pan or in sweets. In some parts of the country, even pregnant ladies use this to improve the complexion of the baby in the womb. Medically it is found to be a fever or virus resistant for pregnant ladies. It is mostly used as a cure for Lucoderma or white spots on the skin. In other words this is a preventive and cure for some skin problems.

CINUSMON: This is called as Gudtwak in Sanskrit and DALCHINA CHEKKA IN TELUGU. It is normally grown in Ceylon and Malabar and in such climatic conditions. The skin of the trunk is the main essence of this topic. It contains strong tongue burning as well sweet taste in its raw form. It creates appetite and cures abdominal disorders. Interestingly it also helps reducing offensive breath and bad odor. As earlier informed the Indian product is inferior to Ceylon and that of China since the climatic conditions of both the countries suits it most than that of Indian Climatic Condition and soil. According to Bhava Prakasika – one of the Indian ayurvedic references, the Indian generated is called as LAATA PARNI. According to Atri Samhiti – this herbal product can be very safely used in cooking as well in its raw form. In another research work it has been proved that this arrests diarrhea. According to Vastu Guna Deepika it is understood that this will help curing ulcers and abdominal pains due to infectious disorders.

In the recent times I have seen an article where it is mentioned that this particular herb helps diabetics quite a lot. One article has gone to the extent of mentioning that this is a wonder remedy for diabetic patients. What else a diabetic of this world needs than worshipping this holy herb if it is proved to help them in the authenticated tests conducted in a lab for this purpose? But surely something and something really a wonder can be found by the future generations in this aspect through this herb . But for the time being it is quite safe for intake through a Pan as per the topic on which we are proceeding.

In continuation I desire to give you some more information authenticated and material information about the medicinal values of the other ingredients earlier informed.

CAMPHOR: It is my desire to the readers not to misunderstand this CAMPHOR with the one available for lit before Holy Shrines in temples. The camphor which I am referring for Taamboolam or Pan has some indirect connection to the Camphor which is normally the secretion from a kind of trees particularly grown in China, Japan, Borneo Islands etc. The difference between these two is that Pan Camphor is a cooked one and with a kind of sweet fragrance recommended for eating directly or in sweets or pan etc., where as the Camphor for lit purpose is a strong one and not recommended for eating. But both of them are highly inflammable. Presently when we take the quality of the Pan Camphor, it can be said that it is a wonder remedy for DIABETES. It stops frequent urination and it reduces bad odor and offensive breath. Interestingly it is observed to reduce the problems concerning eyesight. There are hundreds of applications of this wonder herb when used along with other medicinal plants. I have seen in number of houses using this to get rid of normal headache and this is from WONDER GRAND MA BOX.

BETEL NUT: As said earlier it is called as Areca Catechu or Areca Nut or Betel nut. It is in the species of Date Palm. It does not contain any branches and it grows to 70 to 80 feet high and like Coconut it contains lengthy leaves. It is normally grown in some coastal parts of Andhra Pradesh in India, Konkan Area and Malbar area in Kerala. In most of the parts of Northern India and in Orissa State dried seed without boiling is liked. In other parts of the Country only boiled black cut seeds are used commonly. According to Indian Traditional System, people offer Betel Nut and betel leave as a matter of respect to their guests. In all functions like marriages, fundamentally these two are considered most important. The seed contains TANNIC & Gallic acid AND it has oil contents in it. Even today this is used st TAPEWORM OR ROUND WORM and the gist is called as ARECALINE. This is also considered to help men to regain their vitality and restregthening the nervous system. There are number of applications using this wonder herb, for the time being it is a boon in PAN – TAABOOLAM.

CALCIUM: It is called as SIAAKSHARA in Sanskrit. There are two or three varieties of white cement type clay. In the good olden days WHITE WASHING TO HOUSES is done using this. These rocks are taken out from mines and like bricks they are cooked. It contains very strong odor and it is fundamentally anti bacterial. Probably that is the reason it is mostly used for white washing and people used to refresh themselves, further to getting themselves freed from mosquito’s etc. It creates burns and wounds if applied as it is in large quantities. It is a safe medicine in conjunction with some of the other materials. It creates wounds and rupture in the mouth, if excessively taken and if taken in raw form without combining other material. It is a supportive drug for calcium deficiency in human body. Thus when a person desires to chew a pan, this calcium content too is taken into the body. In the present context, this is used in small quantity on the betel leaf and on it other ingredients are applied before making a PLEASANT PAN – TAAMBOOLAM.

It is a fact I have not acquired proficiency in application of medicines. At the same time, I am trusting the ancient sages of India and their methodology with a high degree of confidence that they struggled hard for the over all welfare of mankind and as such invented many things in the interest of the society. This basic thought is an indisputable one and this is the basis for this.

“Pooogiphalaicha Karpurai Naagavalli Dalairyutam……” which means PAN has to be taken immediately after meal which should contain the following items as per the ancient sages:

These days we see people chewing pan with Tobacco and other Masaalaas Chemically prepared exposing themselves to high-risk zones medically. The Government has gone to the extent of imposing a ban on these materials. Irrespective of age, locality we can see people from the Himalayan Ranges to the Kanya Kumari addicted to PAN MASAALA. People prefer to sacrifice their gifted Tooth and precious health for this. Anything excessive dosage is not advisable, but surely had the ancient formula been properly propagated, the systematic combination would have helped millions to some extent to guard their health and take suitable protection to the parts of their body. We can not afford leaving even a single life, in the instant case, millions of lives are involved and something is to be done in this regard.

Now let us examine each material and its effect as per Materia Medica.

Betel Leaves are from creeper family. In some parts of the Globe it is observed that oil is applied on these leaves and after heating it, the same is put on the chest or abdomen to gain relief from abdominal pains etc. For that matter number of applications in different ways are suggested as per AYURVEDA but by all means it is one boon for those who suffer from facial bad odors or from mouth. It is in fact a mouth refresher. It has the capacity to grant relief from allergies and coughs. It creates appetite and it is anti-asthmatic. Vocal cards are activated to produce sounds with clarity. It is a wonderful remedy for Pioria.

Any Shiva Linga has some quantity of magnetic field. Persons circling the Shiva Linga are considered to have been circling the magnetic field. When a circling is made naturally it is in conjunction with a running electrical field. Thus the totality of magnetic field and electrical field are considered to generate a new power amongst the person circling the Linga.

Similarly when we chant the Vedic texts a kind of air circling generates. AIR is a carrier and it has 0 degrees Centigrade heat. Its normal mobility is 331.3 meters per Second. Thus the mobility of AIR per minute is 19,878 meters and similarly per hour is 11,92,680 meters. Water contains normally 25 degrees centigrade heat and the power is 1498 meters per second. Fire heat is from 0 degrees centigrade and changes its degrees from time to circumstances and 331.3 centimeters per second energy. Now coming to the subject, we can imagine what kind of electricity is generated in a Vedic ritual like a YAGNA where the sound power in conjunction with water for abhishek and sacrifices to the Holy fire is offered simultaneously. According to vedic text – particularly in PURUSHA SUKTA – the word SAHASRA is denoted as infinite and unlimited and not merely a thousand – thus “sahasra seersha purusha………..” means unlimited and infinite number of points generated in the waves created from a center point has the same density as that of the center point or the origin.

Application of the same principle to the SRI CHAKRA ARCHANA where there is a BINDU – a center point and number of triangles on account of the upper four and lower five denoting to THE HOLY NUMBER NINE – 9, thus creates number of waves where similar power of the center can be experienced. Since this happened to be from INDIAN continent, normally it may take some more time for the world to come to this understanding, as BLING BELIEF IS ATTRIBUTED to Indian Traditional Systems. Indian Traditional Systems are the outcome of the sacrifices made by number of great sages who did not care for any reward or remuneration. Even the most authoritative science like AYURVEDA is of Indian Origin. Friends you may be aware as to how many persons might have sacrificed their lives to test each natural element to bring out MATERIA MEDICA. They did not have any selfish motive for making this research.

Unfortunately over a period of time, further generations developed a kind of craze towards others in the context of modernization, forgetting the fact that we are already modern and the engineering structures which appear today in many parts of the country those of ancient ages, speak how ADVANCED WE WERE CENTURIES AGO. My only eagerness is that LET US NOT belittle our sciences and sacrifices of our ancient SAGES. There might have been a few undesirable practices and even the other parts of the Globe are not an exception for such. As an educated, let us respect our culture and tradition at the same time let us not be a part for blind beliefs. Let us upkeep our RICH AND VERY RICH TRADITIONS AND family systems, obedience and respect to elders so on which are a must for the NEXT GENERATION.

While referring to the Suryakshetra 83, I desire to mention here that amongst Parents, Master and God, the master –GURU ranks first for the reason, parents are responsible for giving us birth but then it is on account of some forces they gave birth to us unknowingly and further the brought up etc again depends on their capabilities etc. God – the Almighty is not apparently seen for giving knowledge and us all life comforts though all that is his creation. Surely GURU IS THE only one who impartially grants us vision and knowledge without anticipating any reward or return. He becomes the TRUE FRIEND, PHILOSOPHER AND THE GUIDE AND it is only on account of our total surrendering to him, we can gain knowledge which is a stepping stone for our livelihood and other associated comforts.

The vedic order says that GURU BRAHMA GURU VISHNU AND GURUDEVO MAHESWARA. In other words Guru is sometime equated to the Lord and sometimes more than the Lord is too. He does not act as per our choice and he is also a physical form of a MAN and with all likes and dislikes associated with the physical body, but then, as much as we do not see a simple stone in the idols of a temple, it is our duty to develop the conceptual skill to see the divinity in Guru. In the absence of our skill to develop the concept to visualize the DIVINITY in guru, we may fail to receive what is expected to be received by us from HIS DIVINE FORM. Are we in a position to see only a stone in Lord Venkateswara- certainly not? Hence all that depends on the way in which see. Let us not ask our GURU to remain, as we desire.

Sometimes, we consider SHIV LING as SHIV’S LING but it is really a shortsighted meaning for the reason there can not be BRAHMALING, VISHNU LING OR RAM LING ETC. SHIV EVA SWAYAM LINGAM – in other words LORD SHIVA is one force which is hidden in all living and non living beings. Leenam – Gamayateeti Lingam – MEANS the one, which is hidden, which is total, which is responsible for creation and which is LOKA KANLYANA KAARAK is THE SHIV LING. Shiva as per dictionary meaning is KALYANKAR, MANGALKAR, SUKHAKAR, and SUBHAKAR. The Vedas says– SAM SUKHAM KAROTEETI SANKARA. Coming to the formation of SHIV LING, no other idol in Hinduism is worshiped in the cylindrical shape or round shape. It is to be remembered here that even the Earth is of round shape. Shiva Ling is possessing ALPHA, GAMA BETA rays as is in the science of Atom, for the reason it is a part of the earth and is in the shape of earth.

Earth contains liquid form of Nitric Acid. I got an equation like MG + 2H NO 3 = MG (NO3) + H2 which means when acids reacts with metals they give birth to abundant power. Thus as and when we pour water or milk or PANCHA AMRUTHs like the life protecting milk etc onto the Shiva ling there create a chemical reaction. This subject is under deep study and more information is in being given in the next few issues. As per Hindu Sastras, we put Mercury under Shiva Ling at the time of installation. The Circle shaped Shiva Ling releases OXYGEN and more so when it is associated with MERCURY. More and more Oxygen is created due to the association of Oxygen with Mercury. As much the Mercury contents so much becomes the volume of Oxygen. The secret of Vayu Ling is nothing but this. The Oxygen so created will attract the proteins in the nature and thereupon creates OXY PROTEINS.

Thus Shiva Ling and its surroundings becomes more and more Oxy generating places. Agni – Fire is a conjunction or composition of ELECTRONS AND PROTEINS. Shiva Ling area is nothing but an excellent FIRE PLACE, which helps us to live more actively than elsewhere. It is nothing but a DYNAMIC MAGNETIC FIELD. This subject is also being studied from a different angle to derive at a perfect scientific conclusion.

Reg.: GURU – SUPREME - THE MASTER & A SMALL TOPIC ON IDOL WORSHIP

As per the ancient texts GURU IS CONSIDERED AS BRAHMA, VISHNU AND MAHESWAR. In other words GURU HAS BEEN CONSIDERED AS THE SUPREME. Persons who have been following this paper were already in touch with the subject, however it is being repeated for the information of latest additional addressees so that they too can give us their opinion on the subject. Bhagavan Maanusha Roopena – to say, the Almighty interacts with us in the form of a human being mostly and in certain exception cases in his own form which is quite rare and not seen in one in ten laks cases. Guru – the master can not be treated as a simple human being though he has all other likes and dislikes like most of us. This is for the reason he possess unusual knowledge which will be able to reshape us and rebuild our desired kingdom in the shortest span of time. His knowledge is a treasure for us and his experiences are our manuals. As such, a master is a master and no second opinion. IN THE ABSENCE OF SUCH STRONG CONCEPT, PERHAPS WE MAY EQUATE THE MASTER WITH US AS NORMAL AS WE ARE AND WE WILL BE SURELY MISSING THE RICHNESS WHICH WE OUGHT TO SEE IN CASE WE HAVE STRONG CONCEPTION THAT WE SHOULD BECOME KNOWLEDGEABLE. Hence a master – either in a school, or in a college, or in office, or spiritually or for that matter in whatever school we remain shall ever remain GREAT. In the absence of this approach, we will surely fail to catch the true knowledge, which we need.

A few fear to keep the idols of Lords in the house. They feel as if they are committing a sin in case they keep idols of Lords in their houses. I desire to make it very clear that the Himalayan sage whom I met very recently made it specifically clear that IDOL WORSHIP IS NOT A SIN and mere possession of Idols does not make any one to suffer. The fear has been ruled as a baseless concept and THE SAGE made it clear that in SAGUNOPASANA i.e. in IDOL worship a person is equated to the related Lord or his force and there upon a sense of ONENESS is attained over a period of time. Concentration or centralizing of energy is gradually or automatically derived leading to further advancement in the subject desired. Hence I appeal to my friends not to keep any fear complex but surely go ahead so that THEY CAN REALLY ENJOY SOON the presence of the Lord of their choice. PRACTICE MAKES MEN PERFECT, you all know. You may now know that HUNGER MAKES HARD BEANS SWEET. Our hunger and our strong desire – manasa vaacha and karmana shall lead to the destination very soon than expected. Let us not accept any kind of dejection.

What this little man speaks… ISOLATED WE ENTERED THE WORLD ..ISOLATED WE GO
Isolation -------a word which has the most fear creating meaning. Isolation is the “ultimate” whether someone accepts or not. The fear, sorrow, happiness and all that are in ISOLATION. Whether any one of you accepts the word or not, one day or the other ISOLATION has be experienced by each of us.

Quote: It is not the employer who pays the wages, the truth is that he only handles money. It is the product that pays the wages.

In the recent past, perhaps not even three days, I was to pay attention on this subject ISOLATION. There will not be sufficient TIME for most of us to think of ISOLATION WHILE IN GOOD AGE. I have seen, we do not really realize the boons that were granted to us by the Lord. We do not for a moment accept that we are blessed with boons, for the reasons, the other pressures that are thirst on us do not allow us to look at the other side of the coin some time the culture we developed amongst ourselves too. For example, a blind person knows what boon others who have both the eyes. He realized the importance of eye because he does not have one such. The person who have both the eyes properly working have no time to think of the boon he is enjoying.

Similarly it is very difficult for us to realize the importance of our own family members. Normally they are alone available for us to show our anger, uneasiness and what not. We surely know that others do not bear all this unwanted qualities of us. But the fact is that the OTHERS do not run with us for long time. At the best only our family members beyond their “likes and dislikes” try to live with us and bear us.

Most of us must have the sweet memories of the past, the memories relating to the lovely spending of time with grand daughter or our own children. Each of them physically and gradually disappears from us leaving us alone and leaving the MEMORIES only to us. It is a fact. I JUST REALIZED THAT PHILOSOPHY IS NOTHING BUT ACCEPTANCE OF FACTS. This has struck my brain a week ago. Though I was a student of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan studying Vedanta Visarada course for quite a long time, I realized the simple meaning of philosophy only last week. Surely the reason, some changes have come into our house; my naughty grand daughter and grand son who have come from US went back along with their mother – my eldest daughter; my second daughter who got married a few months ago left for US to meet her husband; my only son who happened to be a B Tech left for higher studies and ME, my wife are remained in the house feeling the sense of ISOLATION at this stage.

Thank Lord, having been worshipping HIM right from the childhood days, we feel that now LORD IS WITH US.

The purpose of writing all this is to urge upon to utilize the most valuable time in all sweetness possible with all yours in the family. Try to educate the children on the best and sound lines so that they develop a kind of oneness. PLEASE REMEMBER PHYSICAL ISOLATION IS POSSIBLE BUT SURELY NOT THE MEMORY ISOLATION. Memories live with us and that is the reason why I write this requesting all of you to CREATE AS MANY MEMORIES AS MUCH WHICH CAN NOT BE ISOLATED FOREVER. The time runs fast and it does not wait for us. PLEASE DO NOT MISS EVEN A MINUTE, it is surely the time to enjoy each minute of us with the family members loving each other and developing a congenial atmosphere where one can express their feelings freely and decently.
Again BLIND LOVE is one, which is to be AVOIDED while remembering the episode of Kind Dhritarashtra.

Quotes: 1) Beautiful young people are accidents of nature, beautiful old people are works & words of art.
2) Happiness is a wondrous commodity: the more you give, the more you are certain to have.
Just a day ago I met an aged person. When I entered his house in the early hours of a day, I found him looking curiously at TV and watching a TV serial where only lady villains take a major role. The gentleman, frankly speaking, is said to be a religious person with high level of Deeksha stages. A person with such degree of Deekshaas normally does not find even a little leisure time to watch the waste TV serials of these days. In fact EVEN LITTLE TIME IS MUCH WANTED FOR SUCH PEOPLE TO GROW WITH THE TIME IN THE LINES EXPECTED OF THEM. Early of any day is mostly wanted time to perform Jap and devote oneself to the religious deeds, and it can never be a LEISURE TIME. One may make a little percentage of leisure time some time during daytime to get him refreshed. This is one aspect and the other aspect is yet another interesting matter.

I wished him and entered his room and said that he is really enjoying a RAJA YOGA time. He asked me, how? I was to answer him in this fashion. Normally people try for male children, the gentleman has two besides two female; normally one try to acquire a home, he has two; normally one expects a healthy life particularly free from diabetes and BP, he is totally free from any type of ailment; normally one needs a little money to lead a comfortable material life, he is drawing pension, he is getting rent on his buildings, his two sons are earning and staying with him; normally one expects a comfortable association in family life, himself and rest of his family members are together and leading a very peaceful and comfortable joint life playing with grand children and what not – in other words I do not see any negative point with which he struggles himself. These are all out of the BLESSINGS OF LORD. I feel that Lord is very very kind enough to him. This is time where one can try to express his gratitude to the Lord for providing such great comforts. This gentleman is really one among LAKH PERSONS to enjoy such great privileges. What else can be a RAJA YOGA TIME FOR ANY ONE THAN THIS?

He could not realize the BOONS he is enjoying, instead he refuses to accept that he is enjoying RAJA YOGA, he is totally worried about a small room, which remained unoccupied by a tenant. He might get Rs.400/ rent a month on that room. He says that he put to financial loss to the extent of Rs.400 a month for the past one month. He is very much worried about the poor beggars who knock at his door for a fistful of rice. Live and let live – it does not matter much for him to keep half a kilo of rice for distribution to the poor beggars every day. He still feels that it results into financial loss to him.

Interesting it is, another elderly person probably nearing to make a century was also present at that time. He too was listening to the conversation and suddenly burst out. He was very much worried and said as to how he lost nearly 97 years of life in wasteful matters. He said that he got a revolutionary message from and out our conversation. I do not know exactly what he got. The next day I saw him sitting at his doorsteps and waiting for poor persons to offer them a fistful of rice. HE CALLED ME AND SAID – I have nothing to feel sorry for anything at this age, and I am eagerly waiting for the call of the Lord. It is just sufficient for me if I could be of some use to some one who is LESS FORTUNATE in the society. He said he would devote whatever time available in the rest of his life praying Lord and HE IS HAPPY WITH ALL THAT HE IS PROVIDED BY THE LORD. He is a really a poor man and dependant on some one for his food. Yet he is a SATISFIED PERSON FROM TODAY.
We can know what to do from some one and what not from some one. Where do we stand?

POWER OF TIME AHEAD OF YOU: I have been repeatedly writing about the value and need for utilization of the time to the best possible outcome. It is one of the most resourceful energy which if slips from the hands once, slips once for all in any one-life time.

18th July – Sunday is one such wonderful day, which is considered as PUSHYA ARCA. I would like to make a mention about the value of the day in literal terms. The Star out of 27 stars – PUSHYAMI is considered to be the most powerful and the best result oriented star. The planet MOON daily enters into the zone of a star and the lunar month is accordingly formed. The star thus acquired importance due to the transit of the planet MOON on it on that day. Rarely PUSHYAMI star falls on a Sunday. For sadhaks, it is nothing but a boon as per Hindu religious system. Probably others too might follow the system but we are yet to examine the same. For the time being this IMPORTANT DAY IS IN FRONT OF US. I have been writing about the SADHANAAS to achieve results. Those who are really interested to achieve something in life should never allow such important days to slip out of the hand.

Now what is to be done on that day: Any sadhana like AISWARYA LAKSHMI SADHANAs suggested by me earlier is the best to repeat. Still I am giving another exclusive sadhana, which will help sadhaks to reach the goal smoothly. Most of you might be aware of SRI SUKTA as per Vedic order. The Sri Sukta is divided into 15 stanzas. It is a simple single line stanza, which can be practiced easily. The anticipated effects for each stanza is given hereunder.

Once a person starts experiencing the sweetness and fragrance of divinity, there is nothing else to look for.

I remember to have written on the subject relating to the relation between MASTER –STUDENT. In the Vedic order of life, master is respected utmost and he was never treated as a laughing stock. In the recent films, master is filmed as a comic creating personality and all abusive attitudes are attributed upon him. It has become more or less a fashion of the day for the cine viewers to enjoy the joker in the master and lots of fun is made out of him. The film censor board is a silent spectator and never bothers of all these things and its impact on the students. As per Indian Traditional system Guru poornima day is being observed on every Ashada Maah full moon day. All the students – old or new join together to worship the Lotus feet of their master. This is according to the Vedic order of life of India.

During 2003, UNESCO meetings held at Paris noted that the areas where VEDIC CHANTINGS ARE done are most powerful. The western community is slowly accepting the importance of Indian Traditional Systems and Vedic Order of life. I know personally a few places where Vedas are taught to foreigners – mostly to young children. They strictly observe the brahmi muhurat and any one gets thrilled to look at the disciplined atmosphere with which the Gurukuls are managed these days particularly by the people of foreign origin. Probably we –the Indians - are not in a position to teach our children our own cultural values better than the Gurukuls managed by foreigners.

I have seen people of foreign origin performing Sandhya Vandana, Owposana Homa Vidhi, Brahma Yagnam, Deva Rishi Tarpanaas etc besides Mantra upasana. They now understand the power of Mantra. Probably the caste system and other such have shown their influence on the vedic order of life and may be it is one of the reasons that people preferred easy way than accepting rituals where certain methods are essentially followed. Either people feel it difficult to follow the methods or they do not feel like accepting others support and services.

It is really matter of surprise as to why the Government or bodies like TTD, or for that matter the religious seers do not take interest to create a regulatory body to conduct tests etc to qualify people who can perform rituals. These bodies must have by now introduced some uniform procedure or at least a step towards these reforms must have taken place. A pundit on the Banks of River Godavari does something, which is not that a pundit does on the Banks of river Krishna at other place. The Vedic order of life specifies uniform procedure but then the procedure is diluted and adopted to the convenience of a particular area. Thus lack of uniformity caused confusion amongst the followers of Hindu Religion and over a period of time people feel like giving up these things for various reasons which are beyond this paper.

Keeping all these matters aside, the least any one can do is TO RESPECT THE MASTER. Guru vakyam is Mantra Moolam----------- , let us do something and really something towards this so that we are considered to have put a step towards the reformations. THESE REFORMS ARE ESSENTIAL IN THE INTEREST OF ALL OF US AND PARTICULARLY IN THE INTEREST OF THE NEXT GENERATION.

THE BEST DAYS AHEAD OF YOU – THE GREATNESS OF MASTER –GURU POORNIMA

My dear friends

The best days of the year are just ahead of you. You may be aware, as per the ancient Indian order of life it is said DHYAANA MOOLAM GURONMURTY; POOJAMOOLAM GUROPADAM; MANTRAMOOLAM GUROVAKYAM; MOKSHA MOOLAM GUROKRUPA. It means for all meditations and centralizing the energy the masters physical features are the roots; for all worships only the Holy Lotus feet of the master; for all the sound commands called as MANTRA the words of the master; and for all elevations only the MASTERS BLESSINGS. Thus the master is considered ALL and he is the only ONE WHO CAN MAKE US TO DO THE THINGS.

Most unfortunate, these days masters are made as a laughing stock and the powerful media – cinemas are mostly responsible for belittling the masters and their capacities. The importance of the master is totally ignored. Something and really something is to be done in this regard lest our next generation has to face the results of the egoistic poisonous seeds which are being planted today by unethical elements for a momentary pleasure.

Had we not cared for what our Guru said in the childhood days quite innocently listening to the teachings and all that WITH A BLIND BELIEF, we might not have reached to this level. The Gnana Netra – the internal eye of wisdom can be opened only with the blessings of Guru. The parents have a very little role in our life – we are all born for a momentary pleasure, but refinement and achievements have all become possible with the blessings of selfless sacrifices of GURU only. PERHAPS YOU WILL AGREE !

Leaving this topic here, I desire to present a wonderful occasion where RAJA YOGA can be achieved quite successfully this year during the time and dates mentioned hereunder.

A person who tries to find faults in Guru can not concentrate to absorb the best qualities from the Master. Thus our own perception and our own inferences remain as great walls for our success. THE MASTER IS ALWAYS A MASTER – WHETHER YOUNG OR OLD; MALE OR FEMALE; HANDSOME OR OTHERWISE; WELL POSITIONED OR NOT.

The great INDIAN ANCIENT CULTURE RESPECTS GURU AND IT IS THE ONLY SECRET OF SUCCESSFUL LIFE.

Let us respect our MASTER – let us remain successful – let us reach the destination fast with HIS blessings.

Hindu Religious Festivals – Spiritual Medication & Healthy Family, Social life

What this little man speaks…

In Hindu religious system different festivals are observed at different intervals in a year, like when agricultural produce reach home; when season changes; when people are at free time; when plantations take place; and so on. The festivals are so designed in a scientific manner that they do not interfere in normal routine but exclusively help people to gear up themselves instead of making them idle. Some creative activity is pumped and as a result an opportunity is created for different people or people in a particular family to join and share their views and experiences. This has created a healthy atmosphere and bringing a kind of oneness into the families and into the society too. Elders are respected at such meeting occasions and their contributions to the society are praised.

Besides this, the masters are respected and their efforts are taking into cognizance so that the children and boys continue to respect their teachers to gain knowledge. In Festivals like Radha Saptami, Vinayak Chaturdhi – holy herbal bath has become part and parcel of the worship. For that matter even Dasara (Dasa Hara) and Deepaavali are also of spiritual medicated values only. The Makara Sankranti festival is celebrated when produce reach home. Thus by and large each festival is designed in such a manner that it helps to develop a KIND OF ONENESS and helps the people to upkeep their health. Each festival is being examined at each different place in the country to find out the motive of the ancient people. Though it is a big exercise, an effort is being put forth so that this can continue further through such of those like-minded persons who can spare their time and energy in future.

In some other foreign countries where such systems are not observed, when the matter is examined, we have noticed people – particularly the younger generation with different psychological ailments causing damage to the society and alarming themselves as anti social elements. It is mostly due to the reason that they have no caretaker in times of their need. In a Hindu system, either the religious head or the grand fathers in the joint family system were readily available to the young. Some counseling was immediately available to the mentally ill person so as to enable him to regain his normal strength. The absence of joint family system due to various socio-economic factors has already started contributing to the Indian Society in an adverse manner due to various anti social groups coming up and threatening the peace loving nature.

In the recent days films are being produced abusing the teacher and making the teacher a laughing stock. Either the teacher misbehaves with the students or the students make fun of the teacher. This is on increase and cheap humor is going to cost the society heavily over a period of time. The responsible parents should take some steps in the best interest of their school/college going children. A student who does not care his teacher, how he can gain knowledge and what is that he is going to achieve through his studies?

Even plant life indicates super natural powers of plants to sense a human brain and this is according to a recent scientific study. Hospitality must be extended even towards an enemy, to remember this, each of us know that the tree does not withdraw its shade from the woodcutter.

Well, it is a fact that a few scientists are still on their job to know the eclipse effects on human beings. When an experiment is made on rats for delivery, as per paper reports, it is observed that the rats and the new born are found badly effected during eclipse. Probably radio active substances must have caused some harm during that time. Dr Shiva Reddy one of the renowned ophthalmologist specified clearly that the retina gets badly effected due to cosmic radiation during eclipse time. Innumerable cosmetic surgeries were conducted by prominent doctors for GRAHANA MORRI – the uneven formation of skin on body particularly at mouth and nose. They found that this type of uneven formation was due to exposure of the pregnant lady to the cosmic radiation.

I have no authenticated and certified report on hand but I have come across agriculturists complaining that the crops got damaged and the flowering was very badly effected. Other reports from fishermen was also very much interesting. There were unusual changes in the waves of the sea and in the behavior of the sea animals.

I have some other information about a paper report that appeared in the News papers during 1955, when the wild animals in the Jaipur Zoo did not touch food during the time of eclipse.

By and large it is quite clear as per Hindu system that eclipse show bad results not only on human being but on the atmosphere.

As per Indian traditions, it is observed that the Indian housewives put sharp grass (Hindi- Kush; Sanskrit – Darbha; Botanically - Sarifiia Grass; Latin – Andropogon) in the food items during the eclipse time and why the ancient sages suggested this and what is its impact on the food items during the time of eclipse is a matter for study by the scientists. But surely there should have been a strong reason behind this and it is far from doubt that a thorough research was conducted by Indian ancient sages in these aspects centuries ago. Logically it is a fact that we are enjoying the fruits of their research today and there should have been some strong reason for this. Only a well equipped and unbiased scientist can take up this for scientific experiment in the interest of the NEXT GENERATION.

Sun and the Moon are the two visible large planets and that they have something to do with our day to day life. The ancient sages of Hindu origin found nine planets playing a vital role on the lives of human beings. The Indian Astrology is a part of Upavedaas and most authenticated science. The Science is such a great one that even a small pundit in a remote village in India is capable of calculating accurately the planetary movements through the available resourceful science. The modern scientists have accepted the planets after a thorough research and ultimately found what has been said about the quality of the planet in vedas, is true. Incidentally the Indian astrologers for various reasons are unable to prove their capacities though gradually the Indian system of astrology captured the confidence of millions across the globe.

This is a separate subject to be taken up, and for us we have straight a wonderful day in front of us. That is 4th May 2004 when the eclipse is taking place. The most powerful planet – THE MOON – is going to be shadowed by the dragons tail – the Ketu. Rahu and Ketu are the two shadow planets besides the major 7 planets. When Rahu is considered as dragons head, the tail is Ketu. On 4th May, the eclipse is taking place at 00.10 of 5th May and lasts up to 3.45 am. This is when reckoned from midnight of 4th. The stars on which the Moon transit and the shadowing is taking place is SWATHI AND VISAKHA. That is to say in the zodiac sign of Libra as per Indian astrology. The western astrology is reckoned from specific dates for each sign and the science is not that deep as that of Indian astrological sciences. The Indian astrology has identified 27 stars and each is sub divided into 4 parts thus making the total parts to 108. When the same is re allocated each zodiac sign gets 9 parts thus making the total to 108 for 12 signs. That means a new born is identified in the 108 parts and the calculations are thus accurate. When this is the mathematical part, the remedial action part is also as accurate as that of the former part of astrology.

Those who have faith in the science, may observe total fasting during the time of eclipse and preferably from sunset time of 4th to the sun rising time of 5th. The fine grass is a kind of protection from the atmospheric pollution during the time. Bath is suggested prior to and after the eclipse. The eclipse time is a wonder time for chanting mantraas and prayers. Why fine grass is to be put and why mantraas are to be chanted during the period are likely to be taken up in due course of time as the subject matter is lengthy and may not give scope in this mail.

Those who have belief on this system and those who are born in Swathi and Visakha stars are suggested to pray separately to over come the ill effects of the eclipse.

Resources ---- most valuable resources for a society are water, electricity etc. They are of course a matter of concern for all of us in the society to protect them and use them to the utmost use of the society. Similarly, every individual has also most precious resources like MONEY, ENERGY, TIME. When a human being is born the clock is set, Almighty allots limited time for any being to enjoy the boon of life or otherwise. The choice is all of us to use the available resources to the optimum. It is essential to remember a quote REPENTANCE IS THE ATTEMPT OF THE INNER MAN TO RETURN HOME AFTER A WONDERFUL NIGHT OUT. The intention of writing this is to highlight the necessity to repent atleast now and return back to home- the time left to all of us is too short. A minute lost is for ever lost, it is impossible to regain the same. A wise man uses the time element for creative, productive activity. Energy is quite precious, one can not use the energy in the childhood days due to incapacity to use the same, so also in the advanced age. Thus we agree the element of ENERGY can be used only for a particular limited time. Interestingly, the other element MONEY brings shadows onto many of us.

Sometimes we earn money and we know how difficult it is to earn the same and how difficult it is to retain a portion of it for our future as an umbrella. Sometimes we commit mistakes in making out an assessment to protect the money. Money is normally spent in two ways – revenue expenditure and capital expenditure. When money is available easily with the efforts of fathers and forefathers, the psychology of a human being in those cases mostly prefers revenue expenditure. May be it is due to the reason that he does not know the value of it, for, he has not struggled to earn it. I have seen most wise people, who prefers making out a capital expenditure and creates assets in association with THE OTHER ELEMENTS – TIME AND ENERGY. When I refer to the Management book of Sri C B Memoria, Prof Maslows theory is kept in view.

When safety need is fulfilled, a person steps into security need and therefrom ego need and so on. In the safety need only revenue expenditure is expected from a human being. In the security need, a person prefers making out assets and wise investments for a safe future. My purpose of writing this today is only to indicate to my friends, like minded persons, young people coming up in their life, that it is quite essential that there should be a prudent utilization of the resources. When the sources get exhausted, there is no use to repent, for, it is beyond repairs. Any repentance is there it should be timely so that THE REPRENTANCE ENDS WITH SOME MEANING.

I left for Ujjain, Omkareswar in Madhya Pradesh – both being the Jyothirlingaas as per Hindu school of thought, and Pushkar being the only place for Lord Bhrahma – the creator where Pinda pradaan in other words oblations are offered to the fore fathers.

Ujjain is one of the most important places in India and the main deity in the temple is MAHAA KAAL – the Lord of TIME. Time grants us opportunity to live and leave and hence TIME is considered the vital part of life for living and non-living beings. During MAHAABHARAT wartime Lord Krishna who was born in Mathura in UP was sent to Ujjain to undergo schooling under the great sage –SANDEEPANI. Even today his samadhi – tomb is in Ujjain. We have collected the photo of standing bull in front of Lord Shiva in the Ashram of the Great Sage. It is said to be the only temple in India where we find standing bull. The bull is said to stood up with due respect to Lord Krishna when he joined the school at the Sage. Lord Mahaakal is worshipped with the Ultimate – the ash since IT IS THE END AND IT IS ALSO THE BEGINNING and in the form of atom. The sacred ash is brought from different places and it is the main important function in the temple, which commences at 3.00a.m everyday. Most of you who are aware of the History of India might know that Raja Vikramaaditya, Bhojraj etc ruled this place. The great poet and astrologer – Mahaakavi Kaalidaas and Raja Bhartruhari too worshipped Goddess here and retained their supremacy in respective fields. Lord Mangalnaadh temple is denoted for Mars’s planet and it is considered that the line of Mars is elevated at that spot. A study is being made in this aspect. Important tree – a rare specious by name MADHU KAAMINI is in the temple complex. I have collected a few branches to make a study of the tree and its composition. Kaala Bhairav, the main servant of Lord Mahaa Kaal even today offered only wine and it is really something strange that the idol drinks the wine and leaves a portion for the devotees. Paatal Bhairavi – the underground Goddess is another place where any one has to take risk to go into the deep cave by crawling in the darkness. We crawled into the cave of 15 x 15 dimension and took some photographs for our library purpose. Bhartruhari Cave is another important place and it is not possible to just make a mention of Ujjain on this small paper. Some time ago I remember to have written that a LIFETIME IS NOT JUST SUFFICIENT to realize and understand what actually UJJAIN is and what it was. To our knowledge there should have been the sacred throne – with Saalabhanjakaas in the same place. We propose to continue our studies in this direction so that some important information can be drawn in due course of time. Ujjain is also the ancient City Avantika. It is one of the most important seven cities and places of bliss in India.

Omkaareswar is on the bank of River Narmada situated about 170 kilometers from Ujjain. You may know that all rivers in India flow from west to east and join Bay of Bengal when only two rivers NARMADA AND TAPATI flow from east and join Arabian Sea on the West Coast. When all rivers are considered to be of female character only Narmada is said to be that of male character. It may be the reason that Only Lingaas available in the river are worshipped in the daily rituals. They are named as NARMADA BAANA LINGAAS. When stones roll for thousands of years in the river in the friction, they ultimately take the shape of a linga as much as Saaligram – silicon stones of River Gandaki are denoted for Lord Vishnu.

Pushkar is about 12 kilometers from Ajmeer in Rajastan. A very big temple tank is respected as LORD in Pushkar and it is believed offering of oblations in Pushkar is said to be a must for any Hindu. Lot of important news is preferred to be written on this but for space.

Did we invite the Devil into our house? The answer is presumably – yes. How and why ? In the changing situations and stress faced by the house wives these days most of the house wives prefer preserving food in the Fridge. It is normally understood that Fridge is a good preservative due to the climatic conditions maintained in the box. Lack of time, pressure of work, running after the needs, what not – so many reasons contributed for depending on the Fridge. This dependency increased in India in the recent couple of decades while it is already in vogue in other countries. One way Fridge is really a boon for the housewives, it helps retention of the freshness of the fruits, vegetables, milk, curd and so on. Unfortunately the box is now misused. Housewives are gradually preferring to retain the cooked food in the fridge under the feeling that the cooked food can be used on subsequent days. In certain cases, food is being cooked in the evening times and retained in the fridge for use in the next day morning and subsequently too. While this practice has already in shape in metro cities, it is gradually spreading to the towns and villages in India. Indians residing abroad, to my experience, started even retaining the Indian traditional pickles in the Fridge.

According to a recent study, these days several lives are off due to consumption of poisonous food. It is observed that several Indian families are keeping the Sambaar-tamarind soup, coconut pickle and like this in the fridge and normally it is now being prepared for 2 to 3 days instead of earlier practice of preparing for dinner and lunch. You may aware that bacteria develops fast in Noodles, cooked rice, potatoes, beans, unpacked non-veg items etc. These items should not be retained for long time in the fridge as they help developing bacteria fast due to which dizziness, abdominal pains etc occur. Due to several reasons the handle of the fridge is very roughly handled and proper care is not taken and in the study it is revealed that the bacteria developed on the handle is more worse than what is found in the toilets.

After all what ever we earn if it does not grant us food comforts, what for do we earn?. All the living beings give priority to food. Even some animals prefer only fresh food. There fore it is essential that we should pay some attention to cook food on need based though it is a little time and energy consuming process. It gives us satisfaction; it protects our health; it is the main source of our energy for TOMORROW’s activities.

Probably it is the reason, in the Indian traditional system, offering of fresh cooked food to the Lord in daily worship was made a compulsory process. Is it the time to recheck and realize virtually what our fore fathers mean and for ….

It is long since I have entered into this paper which is being released for the benefit of the readers since 1990. Even otherwise program and the related research work is continuously being released through different mails from time to time.

I found three kinds of people --- 1) those who do not know what is happening
2) those who watch what is happening
3) those who make things happen

It is certainly better, you will invariably agree that it is better to posses the ability to make things happen.

Similarly EFFECTIVE means doing right things and EEIFICIENT means doing things right.

Back to the subject, I found several people particularly those who have come out of service after working for a few decades, idling their time. Time is a valuable resource in our hand. A second lost can never be regained. Once lost it is once for all Lost. Since it is provided to us by Lord - the creator, free of cost, perhaps we fail to recognize the value of it. These days youngsters waste their time on unproductive matters of revenue nature. When I say REVENUE NATURE , I mean that it may bring momentary happiness or reward.

I also do not ignore to talk of CAPITAL NATURE . Capital account is one which is created for rewards on an on-going basis for ever. One should be able to turn the valuable resource - time- into CAPITAL ACCOUNT so that it starts paying dividends continuously. I observe from the history of those who are successful in life, that they struggle hard to RESPECT TIME LORD. They maintain time sense; they are disciplined in respect of time; they are punctual. THEY KNOW - WHAT TO DO, WHEN TO DO, AND HOW TO DO. But for any untoward incident beyond human knowledge, they are mostly successful.

I only request all the youngsters not to waste time on unwanted and unproductive things. Some times we may not be able to judge what is productive and what is not. In such cases, it is essential that we should consult a close friend or relative or parents etc to take their advise. Mere acting on the advise is not sufficient; one should be able to judge the accuracy and reason behind it of the advise so received. In other words the person who has given his advise should not be blamed for any reason whatsoever. It should be well remembered that the advise received from the outside agency is only a supplement to our thinking and judging of the other side of the coin, if any.

Every retired person also should involve in Society building activity in the interest of next generation. He is backed by his professional excellency, knowledge and understanding ability - which are most valuable assets to the society. They are built up over a period of time, a length of time- hence they are mostly wanted. It is essential that ONE SHOULD TAKE PAIN TO REDUCE PAIN.

Kind thoughts are roots
Kind words are flowers
Kind deeds are fruits

This is the TIME for all of us to enjoy the fruits of TIME through our deeds of TODAY. And tomorrow-who knows ?

COLD, FLU & COUGH :-
All the human beings from every region of the globe experience it at one time or another during their live times. A simple common cold is a collection of familiar symptoms signaling an infection of the upper respiratory tract which includes the nose, throat and sinuses. At least five major categories of viruses cause colds. One of these groups and perhaps the most common, the rhinoviruses which has a minimum of 100 different viruses. Though we say “cold and flu” in the same breath, influenza is a very different disease from common cold. The influenza virus takes up residence mainly in the throat and bronchial tract. If one has flu, one should usually have a fever and a fever is not usually present in the cold. The fever usually passes within three days, but the fatigue, muscle aches and cough that result from the flue can linger for weeks.

As per traditional systems, plains Indians used purple coneflower or echinacea(Echinacea angustifolia) as a remedy for colds and flu. Today it is the best selling herbal remedy in the county. Several studies supported this and as per science echinacea activates the immune system, the body’s natural agent of healing. Any one can purchase tincture of echinacea and at the first sign of a cold or flu take one teaspoon of the tincture every hour for three hours. If the infection still persists, take one dropper full of the tincture every three hours and it does not matter even if one takes other medicines.

As per NEW ENGLNAD traditional system, take garlic (allium sativum) for colds. The American southwest and China use garlic for colds and bronchial problems. Even the ancient Egyptians used it to treat cough and cold besides fever. For this they used to blend three cloves of garlic in a blender with a little water. The clove must be cut or crushed in order to release its constituents. Interested persons can add half of a lemon skin and all to the garlic put the contents in a cup and fill the cup with boiling water. Inhaling the fragrance, add honey and drink the entire cup in slips. This can be done three times a day for few days. Rural remedy is that the cousin of garlic-onion is used to treat colds in virtually every folk tradition in North America. Wild Onions have been used for the same purpose by Native American tribes in every region of the country.

Using Onions to treat colds persists to day in the folk medicine of New England, upstate New York, North Carolina, Appalachia, Indiana and within Chinese communities through out North America. May be the pungent aroma is cutting through even the stuffiest nose, cold sufferers have been drawn to the bulb. The modern science is confirming that the plant has anti-infective properties. To realize what it is, cut up one large onion and simmer in a covered pot for twenty minutes and later drink a cup of tea three or four times daily when you have a cold or flu.

Some residents of New England, North Carolina and Indiana recommend hot sage (Salvia Officinalis) tea to break up a cold. They say sage is especially good for sore throats that often accompany colds. Place one teaspoon of sage in a cup and fill with boiling water, cover it and let it sleep for ten minutes. Then strain; add a little lemon and honey and drink. Repeat three to four times a day for as long as one can do.

This is the practice and it is atleast as old as the ancient Romans. What made our ancestors turn to a lemon for relief is unknown still? This time, place one chopped, whole lemon skin, pulp and all in a pot and add one cup of boiling water. While letting the mixture sleep for five minutes, inhale the fumes, then strain and drink. The wisdom of Hippocrates advocate inhaling of the fumes of vinegar to treat it as a remedy for cold and it is as old as ancient Greece. The Greek Physician Hipporcrates recommend the treatment for coughs and respiratory infections. For this, Pour a half cup of boiling water in a jar and add half a cup of vinegar, gently inhale the steam, but remain careful not to burn oneself.

Sniffing salt water could ease nasal congestion. Towards this put a quarter teaspoon of salt in a glass of hot or warm water and sniff some of the water. Adding butter to hot tea is another remedy used in the high altitudes of Nepal and Tibet to prevent colds. New Englanders use a similar technique of adding butter to hot hot water to treat colds.

DIABETES: Probably you may remember the article which I have written on the same subject a few months ago while transmitting the mysterious medical secrets round the globe. In the series I have given some very valuable information on Arthritis, High Blood pressure etc and other topics relating to MIND BODY theory are under research and very shortly they are kept in front of you. It is a costly and time consuming research and yet we are paying adequate attention to the subject with a view to give you lot of information.

AROGYAM MOOLAM UTTAMAM: In life health is the best treasure and you must accept it. One should have confidence that the ailment is not incurable and it is CERTAINLY CURABLE. Over weight patients should avoid starchy food and eat less of butter and ghee. They should shun potatoes, sweet potato and other tubers. In the allopathic system of medicine insulin injections are prescribed. Insulin sure enough lowers the sugar level but it does not cure the problem. Ayurvedic medicines like aarogyavardhini vati, chandraprabha vati, vasantkusumakar ras, juice of neem leaves and bitter gourd can root out this problem. It is necessary that these medicines are to be taken under the guidance of an expert doctor. Fruit of Jamun, fenugreek seeds are also very beneficial in diabetes. A diabetic should go for walk daily in the morning and evening. A balanced diet is a must. According to me one should have a perfect mind body system and this is one wonderful channel by virtue of which the body listens to the command given by mind (as that of hypnotic treatment) and corrections are taken place in the body.

Depression: In Indian joint family system family counseling was an integral part. If a person in a family is out of mood, the other family members normally used to bring him back to normalcy and this is so particularly when aged elders exist in the family. Thus an opportunity for sharing of difficulties was available for every individual. After all it is a fact one has to undergo depression at least once in his life time for whatever reason it may be. My friends started asking me to pay more attention on topics relating to curing of different ailments taking into cognizance of the practices followed by different religions and different medicinal approaches followed in various parts of the globe. Earlier I have written on Arthritis, High blood pressure etc and in continuation I am trying my best to pay attention on other ailments which are normally being faced by many in these days.

DEPRESSION: For me – as a person originally from ECONOMICS, it sounds as a GAP BETWEEN DEMAND AND SUPPLY. It looks like a simple sentence, but it is everything about Depression. People demand something and in case there is a mismatch of supply, over a period of time it results into depression. Clinical depression is an illness that causes a persons mood and behavior to change for long periods. Depression is characterized mainly by feelings of sadness, irritability or indifference.

It is also possible that it may result from a chemical imbalance in the brain and episodes can be triggered by a traumatic event, prolonged stress and such other factors. Symptoms may include lack of interest in hobbies or other activities that once were enjoyable, changes in weight, appetite or sleeping; feelings of guilt, worthlessness or hopelessness; and confusion and fatigue. Conventional drugs treat depression with drugs and psychotherapy.

The remedies available: Homeopathic practitioners treat depression with highly diluted natural substances that would cause symptoms of depression if given in full strength to a healthy person since the basis for Homeopathy itself is –Symptomatic treatment. Recently it is heard that scientists have validated the centuries old practice of using St.John’s Wort(Hypericum Perforatum) to treat depression.

It appears that the plant has mood lifting properties. It worked as well in some studies as an expensive pharmaceutical drug, though it is not know exactly how and why. In USA and Europe people accept this. The Amish in America do not consume this plant but they hang it over the barn door or house door with a belief that it prevents depression and such other illnesses from striking their families. An Amish elder might also say or recommend that one has to do good for someone else, make a list of all the good things and pray for others welfare to get rid of DEPRESSION.

I believe that when once DEPRESSION strikes at the door, it not only upsets the mood of the person subjected to depression, but also other inmates as a result STEPS OF PROGRESSIVE LIFE is substituted by regressive actions which take lot of time to march ahead for success. It is as such nothing but a DEVIL in my opinion. Acupuncturists consider depression to result from a blockage of qi the bodies vital energy force. Acupuncture aims to rebalance the flow of qi by stimulating energy points in specific areas. One more study found that thirty minutes of massage a day effectively reduced depression and anxiety in hospital patients.

The aroma of flowers such as orange blossom(citrus aurantium), jasmine(jasminum officianalis) and ylang ylang(conanga odorata) appears to alleviate symptoms of depression. The 20th Century physicians widely prescribed oats(Avena Sativa) as a remedy for depression. Seventh day Adventists take a “Neutral bath” to relieve depression. They soak in water kept within a degree or two of body temparature for twenty to forty minutes. Still study is being made as to why the temparature should be “neutral” but it may be due to a fact that lack of heat or clod that helps the body to regain balance. Interestingly Indian healing secret pay attention to sound system. Besides chanting of some powerful sounds like “OM”, regular practice of yoga and breathing exercise is believed to instill the energy and confidence thereby reducing stress.

The ancient Indian sages perhaps introduced Pranayam-a part of Yoga and chanting of sounds by almost every one in India by systematizing this in SANKALPA – the sacred prayer part in the beginning of day. More about this follow.

I believe that you have enjoyed my expression on the EYE in the past magazine. I have assured you that I will be giving you information on the EV IL EYE. Whether the modern scientists believe this or not, people around the globe do believe that EVIL EYE overpowers at times. Perhaps no scientific explanation is possible in this direction. It is not correct to say that only INDIANs and particularly HINDU RELIGION alone has blind belief on this subject. Italian Americans believe that the EVIL EYE can cause disease. Scientifically to explain, I believe that every human body is a electric power generating center. Generation of electricity and consumption of the same are the usual on going process in a human body. The generation of electricity in a human body some times run un – evenly. Eyes are considered to be a consuming part in the human body. The great sages of Indian origin found remedial actions. They found a certain quality of gross which is popularly called as DARBHA in Sanskrit possessing an excellent quality to counter the undesirable electrical energy released again a human being. My articles on Arthritis, depression, diabetes, high blood pressure are appreciated by many and the inspiration which I derived out of such appreciation is the cause for continuing the subject. I HAVE BEEN TAKING THE PRIVILEGE OF BRINGING BEFORE YOU WHAT MYSTERIOUS REMEDIAL ACTION IS AVAILABLE THROUGHOUT THE GLOBE ON EACH AREA..

This time “Eye problems” are taken to this as it is said –SARVENDRIYAANAM NAYANAM PRADHANAM. The eye is said to the best and most essential input to the human body out of nine channels. Now straight to the subject, inflammations of the eye can be painful and produce redness, swelling and irritation. Conjunctivitis or pink eye is an inflammation of the conjunctive, the delicate membrane that lines the inner curve of the eyelid and covers the exposed surface of the eye. The infection results from disease-causing micro organisms, such as bacteria, fungi, and viruses. Eye inflammation also may be caused by allergies, chemicals, dust, smoke and foreign objects that become lodged in the eye. Conventional treatment varies according to cause and symptoms. Doctors may prescribe antibiotics, steroids, or soothing eye drops. Interestingly TEA is a common eye remedy. Its easy with green or black tea, prepare tea according to directions and place the tea bag on closed eye for 15 minutes duly taking care that the temperature is not high or too low.

A rose is a rose a…..cure for infected eyes, as it is said in spanish, and arabic speaking communities. Please pick up roses that are free from pesticides and other chemicals, place a handful of petals in a jar and add one pint of boiling water, cover well to retain the aromatic oils and let stand until the water has cooled to room temperature, strain then soak a clean cloth with the liquid and place on the closed eye. Another interesting item, application of an Incan poultice. The Incas cultivated potatoes as a food and medicine and one medical use included eye conditions. The skin from a whole raw potato is to be removed and grate finely, to place the grated potato in a clean cloth and fold to make a poultice, application of the poultice to the eye for just 15 minutes. Further, Europeans have long used the lowly weed eye bright(EUPHRASIA OFFICINALIS) to treat conjunctivitis and other eye infections.

EYEBRIGHT’s flowers look like little yellow eyes and apparently resemblance sparked some ingenious individual to try it as an eye remedy. European colonists brought the remedy with them to the New World. The same can be found to day in parts of Appalachia. The treatment is placing one table spoon of eyebright leaves in one pint of hot water, cover and steep for ten minutes, strain and apply the liquid with a clean cloth while slipping a cup of tea and it is to be done twice a day.

Many Asian-Americans know that chrysanthemum blossoms(chrysanthemum indicum flos) make a great remedy for tired aching eyes. The Chinese and Japanese place a large handful of flowers in a pot and add one quart of boiling water, this is covered and steeped for ten minutes and then strained, the wet flowers are wrapped in a clean cloth, then the poultice is placed on the eye while the patient sips the tea. Aromatherapists recommend a CHAMOMILE cure for tired eyes. Steep two chamomile (Matricarria recutita) tea bags in a few table spoons of hot water, allow the bags to cool some what, then lie down and place a tea bag over each eye, cover the poultices with a soft cloth. In Tibet, a tea made of fennel(Foeniculum Vulgare) is used to soothe tired, irritated eyes.

I shall bring –WARDING OFF THE EVIL EYE—in my next issue. THE POWER OF FAITH is to be understood now. The FAITH is not just in a particular religion or part of the world. Faith is a integral part of any LIVING BEING. Even birds, animals develop faith to come closer; we have a faith on a particular doctor as such we go to him; we have a faith that a particular teacher or school teaches well as such we send our children to them, to say, faith is an inbuilt power that overpowers us beyond any reason and that component of faith is not CERTAINLY A DAY MATTER. It is coupled with the results. A survey published in 1986 revealed that one of every seven people polled believed that at some point HE or SHE had been healed by GOD. Such miraculous cures were for all types of illnesses-everything from viral conditions to debilitating back pain and cancer.

No one can say how prayer heals. But that does not stop people from praying. A 1991 study found that 96 percent of patients facing heart surgery said that they prayed to be healed: 73 percent of hospitalized patients said the same thing in a study two years later. Religion seeks to bring humans closer to the mysteries of the universe. In 1982 researchers found that Mormon men who considered themselves very religious were less likely to get cancer than their less-religious peers. Wonder is that when they get cancer, those in the religious group recovered faster. A reference to the AMERICAN JOURNAL OF PSYCHIATRY published in 1990 edition reports that religious people recovered faster from illnesses and were less depressed than respondents who did not rate religion highly in their lives.

I AM NOT PREACHING BLIND BELIEF AND NOT IN THE INTEREST OF ATTACHING TO A PARTICULAR RELIGION IN THIS PROCESS. I am bringing this before you what the other world speaks so that we can judge for ourselves what to do and what not.

I started Upanishads and also certain material like Paarad (Mercury) Ganapathi. But now I started receiving many requests for paying attention particularly to the health aspects and other matters to rank next. I am convinced of the same and as such now again I am concentrating on health points. I have already covered High blood pressure and arthritis. Now I really wonder as to how different countries and country men adopt techniques to overcome ailments or to control. It is like a medical mystery for me and I strongly suggest that every one of us should accept what is best in the other parts of the globe irrespective of religion, caste and like that. Particularly in these days when excellent communication system is available, I feel that one should take advantage of this and derive the benefits as expected.

In this issue I am feeling like touching DEPRESSION, the most unwanted and undesirable imaginary ghost. Clinical depression is an illness that causes a person’s mood and behavior to change for long periods. Depression is characterized mainly by feelings of sadness, irritability or indifference. Depression may also result from a chemical imbalance in the brain and episodes can be triggered by a traumatic event, prolonged stress etc. Symptoms may include lack of interest in hobbies or other activities that once were enjoyable; changes in weight, appetite and sleeping, feelings of guilt, worthlessness or hopelessness; and also confusion and fatigue.

Conventional medicine treats depression with drugs and psychotherapy. Though it sounds ironic, but practitioners of homeopathy treat depression with highly diluted natural substances that would cause symptoms of depression if given in a full strength to a healthy person, for the reason they go by symptomatic treatment. Mysterious St John’s Wort was validated by the scientists long ago.

The mysterious practice of using St John’s Wort(Hypericum perforatum) is exclusively to treat depression. Seems the plant indeed has mood lifting properties. It is a fact that it worked as well in some studies as expensive pharmaceutical drug. The Amish in USA use St John’s Wort to treat depression, but they do not appear to have been consuming the plant. They are reportedly hanging it over the barn door or house door to keep out witches and their spells. Thus they believe that they prevent depression and other related illnesses from striking their families. In certain cases study found that thirty minutes of massage a day effectively reduced depression and anxiety in hospital patients.

The aroma of flowers as orange blossom(citrus aurantium), jasmine and ylang ylang(cananga odorata) appears to alleviate symptoms of depression.

The best remedy suggested is family counseling. Patient must be taken close to his family or more so a homely atmosphere is created and an elderly person should cause concern for open discussion and cheering up.

I am coming with certain cure to Hemorrhoids, incontinence, memory problems, mouth and tooth problems, sleep problems, sore throat, wounds and cuts etc in the forthcoming so that you may know what the world says round us about this.

UPANISHADS: Teitireeya Upanishad may help us to gain knowledge of life. It has three chapters. The first chapter is called Shiksha Adhyaay valli and this has 12 parts. A discip0le or shishya means one who gains knowledge and uses it in his life. In the Vedic age the child would go to the Master-Duru and gain knowledge from him. All the ancient texts of Indian culture are stressing the need to have the knowledge from the master in direct relation. In other word the disciple should look at the Guru and gain knowledge by listening and keeping his life organs active.

Presenting the sixth part of the Upanishad which starts with “sa ya…….” The meaning of this says that the in the heart of a human lives the SUPREME. The supreme is the divine and elixir like. The epiglottis can be the basis of linking oneself to the soul. The basis of human life is the journey from MOOLADHAAR TO to the SAHASTRAR. When a person is born it is due to the energy stored in the Mooladhar. At the time of birth only Mooladhar is active. When a person dies the Kundalini rises from Mooladhar to sahastrar and the soul thus leaves the body . At the time of cremation the skull of the corpse is shattered(kappal kriya) signifying that the soul has left the body through the sahastrar. When a person becomes free of life and his body dissolves and gets fused into the four basic elements like bhu, bhuvah, swah and mah. The body is made of these very elements and after death they separate and attain individual identity. Bhu means the fire in the body and it gets fused with the fire in the universe. Bhuvah means that the air element in the body fuses the air around. Swah means that energy of the body fuse in the energy (sun) in the universe. Mah means that the personality of the person fuses with the Brahm(divine). Knowledge of these four elements lead to SELF REALISATION.

In other words this speaks of the highest philosophy that NOTHING IS OURS AND NOTHING IS PERMANENT. I hope all of you accept this. When so, why the VIKAARAAS?

I shall try to present the Shiksha Adhyaas Valli in the forthcoming issue.

Some interesting tips: I am interested to come back once again to the material world and give an option to make matters successful. PAARAD GANAPATHI – perhaps you may be knowing that the paarad is nothing but MERCURY. The ancient text RAS RATNA SAMUCHCHAYA states- siddhrase karishye nirdraaridra yamaggadam jagat. In other words if mercury is consecrated and converted into paarad then with its help all ailments and poverty of the world can be banished. The same text further states that no herb or mineral is capable of keeping the body always free from diseases. The reason is that all elements can become wet and only mercury can not. Through special process mercury is made solid. You may be knowing that collecting mercury into hands is next to impossibility. It becomes elixir when it is made solid. Thus certain impossible matters can be made possible through this sadhana and Parad Ganapathi is one such which makes us feel better materially and spiritually.

This excellent subject with the resultant outcome basing on personal experience is being presented gradually from now on. A few Parad Ganapathi pieces are available with the blessings of His Holiness Guruji and I desire to send them if requested for.

Naimishaaranya: Perhaps most of you are aware of this sacred place. Usually in all Hindu families whenever we perform VRATAM or POOJA etc invariably one sentence is prefixed as – EKATHA NAIMISHARANYE ---. According to the historical evolutions, Naimishaaranya is the origin for the civilization. The great epics and puraanas have taken shape on this Holy land.

Naimishaaranya is in Sitapur district of Uttar Pradesh. It is hardly 33 kilometers from SITAPUR. From Delhi, one can go to Naimishaaranya through Briz Ghat. Moradabad, Rampur, Shahajahanpur and Sitapur. It is nearly 500 kilometers drive from Delhi. It is on the bank of Gomathi River.

Chakra Teertha is a place in Naimishaaranya where Lord Brahma is believe to have dropped the disc or Chakra. It is further believed that Goddess Sati’s heart had fallen at this spot. Thus LALITHA TRIPURASUNDARI temple has gained lot of importance at Naimishaaranya. We have one very big Hanuman Mandir and it is not known as to whether the statue is made up of a stone or a SWAYAMBHOO.

The school of thought of Jagadguru Sankaraacharya subsequently divided into four groups like the sampradayaas – Teertha, Giri, Bharathi and Saraswathi. The great sage HH Jagadguru Naradaanandaji Saraswathi established an ashram in the NAIMISHAARANYA and later under the able and dedicated leadership of HH Jagadguru Sri Vivekaananda Saraswathi the ashram has come up well spiritually as well financially. They have established a vedic school for children and at the time of my visit nearly 125 small small children were undergoing training – SIKSHA- for gaining excellency in Sanskrit language and vedic rituals. The Sanaathan dharma can be seen in these parts of the country more clearly than elsewhere. Perhaps we may not dare to send our children from the other part of the life to that part of life though we admire all our traditions and systems.

Recently a temple was constructed for LORD VENKATESWARA and it is being maintained as usual well. The ahsram is striving its best to provide shelter and food to the visitors as such facilities are not immediately available elsewhere in the spot.

Most interesting sectors are taking bath in the Holy river Gomathi. If we prepare and plan to spend an hour in the river, it is certain that we will forget time element while taking bath and for a while we are likely become children. If any of the visitors is a person from Botanical sciences , he can conveniently say that the age of some of the trees shall be around 3000 years. Well, after seeing great rishis –sages, if one plans to leave the place in a day, perhaps I may have to conclude that his boss at his workspot should realise the spiritual and re-energising values available. It is not that as to how we earn money and retain it in its own shape thus becoming slaves and watchmen to it. It is certainly that we should earn command on the money we have earned and it should give us all the pleasures we want like seeing the places of importance like Naimishaaranya etc. Of course, I have to leave the matter to the judgement of each individual.

MERA BHARAT MAHAAN: I really feel proud to write a few lines about a few places of historical and religious excellencies in our country. For that matter, when I visit nooks and corners I found something and something really interesting in each place of my visit. As every human being is great in certain aspects, like so every place. I consider that it is my fortune to have such experiences in this very very short span of life. Added to that it is really my fortune to come to highly educated and intellectual group of persons like you with my experiences.

A few days ago I had an opportunity of visiting UJJAIN in Madhya Pradesh. Like any other towns and cities it is also one in the country. Well, all that depends on the perception. If I start seeing something great, I find something really great and similarly if I do not see any value even in gold, I consider it as a worthless metal. In other words if mind set is made to analyze it will analyze. Alternatively even great events are ignored. In vedic order of life it is said –YAD BHAVAM TAD BHAVATHI- if you desire to do something , you will do it and if not , you ignore.

Ujjain is otherwise known as AVANTHIKA. There are seven cities on the earth which are capable of granting MOKSHA. These cities are said to be so sacred, they are capable of granting JEEVANMUKTI. Of the seven, Ujjain is said to be most reverred place for MANTRA POWER AND TANTRA SAKTI. During Mahaabharata times, Lord Krishna studied as a disciple at the Ashram of Great sage Saandipani. Balarama and Sudhaama were his co students. The great sage Samadhi is on the banks of KSHIPRA RIVER. Of the twelve Jyothirlingaas, Ujjain Mahaakaleswar Linga is one. Lakhs of people daily receive blessings of the Holy shrine. Kaala Bhairava daily takes liquor even today and the offering of only liquor to the deity is something really wonderful. Paatal Bhairav shrine is in a cave close to the Kaala Bhairav temple. Since the way is very congestive it is risky to enter the cave. I could not find any other place as sacred as that of Mangalnaath – a temple for MARS – one of the nine planets, excepting in Ujjain. Mahaakaali temple is one of the ASTA DASA SAKTI PEETHAS in the country. The Holy mother –MAHAAKALI granted unusual vision and knowledge to a layman who subsequently named as MAHAA KAVI KAALIDAS. This great poet has written UTTARA KAALAMRUTHAM at Ujjain - highly respectable book for astrologers for RAHU planet.

Raaja Bhartruhari has written his SUBHASHITAM sitting in a cave near Ujjain. It is open for the visitors even today. Raaja Vikramaarka ruled the country retaining Ujjain as his capital. There are thousands and thousands of caves which we dare not to enter. It is really a capital of treasure for those who visualise the importance. Well, if I start writing on each item from and of Ujjain, perhaps, this small little paper may object.

Kaal - in other words is TIME – and Mahaakaaleswar is none else than the LORD OF TIME. I have been repeatedly writing that TIME ELEMENT is the main element which keep the living beings and non living beings in the frame work of a rhythm or say a disciplined cycle. What else can be a greater achievement than obtaining blessings of the LORD OF TIME?. I strongly felt that a life cycle of nearly 70 years is too small to understand, realise, analyze a small area like Ujjain in India. Will the LORD OF TIME allow us to see many more sacred places like Ujjain in our life time or not is a matter of every individual . Can we now stop thinking that MERA BHARAT is really a MAHAAN . It is certainly our fortune, we are born in India- the land of spiritual, material, eternal excellency. Only prayer to the Lord is to grant us many more opportunities to re –born on this Holy land, if we are destined to take birth once again.

Most people just give up attempts when they are about to achieve success.

ARTHRITIS: When I continue my topic on the subject, I desire to stress that it is actually possible to “think” away the pain although no science could tell us possibly “why”. Our attitude towards our disease, as well as our level of emotional stress and our ability to deal with it, are the significant factors in how arthritis will affect us. The hopeful news as per the scientific research is that we have control over these factors. Numerous body-mind techniques can help ease arthritis pain; improve range of motion; facilitate sleep; and strengthen our immune system. A few of them are creative visualization, guided imagery, progressive relaxation, support groups, self hypnosis, sound system(like mantra sastra as per Hindu school of thinking) and meditation. For all this, choosing of a good guide or say master is quite essential and that should be backed up by faith. It is to be remembered that in a “no faith” attitude, no system can take us to reach goals.

According to Mr Jeffrey Laign, British and German immigrants to United States of America treated rheumatic pain by their suggestions to eat raw or cooked celery seeds(apium graveolens) or large amounts of celery plant. Eating celery may seek like an unlikely fixative, but there may be something to it since the custom is still in practice in USA.

American Indians and early colonists alike used herbs such as white willow(salix alba) and wintergreen(caultheria procumbens) to control pain. What is truly mysterious is that these plants contain a compound similar to aspirin –a drug that was not even invented until the 19th Century. Aspirin was developed as a less-toxic substitute for methyl-salicylate, a substance that comes from the wintergreen plant. Aspirin like compounds are also found in the herbs like black cohosh( cimicifuga racemosa), black haw(viburnum prunifolium) and pipsissewa(chimaphila umbellata).

According to Mr Lagin, a potato when carried in the right pants pocket, has really worked as a remedy. For this he says that any organized medical practitioner will say that so called PLACEBO effect has cured countless patients who were just given sugar pills but believed that they were taking potent medicines.

In certain cases, wearing of copper bracelet also produced magical cures for some arthritis patients. A 1976 study found that arthritis patients who wore copper bracelets suffered very fewer symptoms than those who wore aluminum or other metal bracelets colored to look like copper. Science may not right now give answer to this as SCIENTISTS ARE STILL EXPERIMENTING TO WHAT DEGREE THE TRADITIONAL SYSTEM WORK, yet, people in every corner of the globe have used amulets to ward off illness or to banish it when it strikes. Amulets are objects said to have spiritual powers. Practitioners of folk medicines believe that there is a strong link between the spiritual and material as well the mental and physical. From a study it is found that amulets are used to ward off fire, violence, witchcraft, lightning, disease, evil spirits or anything dangerous and undesirable.

In India the study revealed that a horseshoe or a amulets that contains nine planetary stones or related herbs of nine planets wrapping with gold or a copper wire has helped many from illnesses. In the other parts of the globe, Garlic is widely repute to repel evil forces. Chinese folk healers recommend eating of sesame seeds about half an ounce a day to relieve arthritis discomfort. Mustard may seem an odd or magical arthritis remedy but employing so called counter irritants to ease pain is a technique of folk healers throughout EUROPE, ASIA, AND APPALACHIA area of the United States of America even today. One of the oldest counter irritants is a mustard plaster. Crush the seeds of white or brown mustard(brassica spp) or grind them in a coffee grinder, spread the mixture on a cloth and place the poultice-mustard side down-on the skin, leaving it on for no longer than twenty minutes, then remove the plaster and wash the affected area thoroughly. Cayenne pepper is another counter irritant used in China and in the Southwest and Midwest regions of USA.
When we see and listen to these many, we may have to salute our GRAND MOTHERS and trust that GRANDMAAS have invented many for our benefits centuries ago.

In Every paper I am quoting and the purpose of the same is to pass on a message/communicate some useful meaning in the shortest and sweetest language possible.

In this issue I desire to concentrate much on HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE. It is a fact that MYSTERIOUS HEALING SECRETS ARE AVAILABLE THROUGHOUT THE WORLD FOR ALMOST ALL PROBLEMS which the human beings face. High blood pressure or hypertension describes a greater than normal force of blood coursing through the arteries. This high pressure forces the heart to work harder than the normal and increases the risk of aneurysm (rupture of an artery), heart attack , stroke, kidney failure and similar disorders. I have been repeatedly writing that the Almighty created us all with same kind of affection and love. For him, the entire creation is one and filled up with love and affection. But when the matter comes to individual, we overrun the matters beyond the description and thereby search for solutions. I trust that this is nothing but abusing the natural gifts available to us. Back to the exercise, a reading of 140/90 is considered as high. High blood pressure may not produce visible symptoms in many.

On certain occasions, people with high blood pressure experience ringing in the ears and headache. I am continuously observing that the conventional medical practitioners attempt to lower the blood pressure by prescribing drug therapy and lifestyle changes. In the Chinese system, inserting of hair thin needles in specific points of body, particularly in an area known as the “heart meridian” can lower the blood pressure and its looks strange for us, but it is a fact.

Massage works well to relieve stress but it may aggravate high blood pressure. Interestingly many common plants appear to have the power to lower or normalize blood pressure in some people. For example AALIUM SATIVUM - we do not have to fear for the name- it is nothing but little garlic- it may bring down blood pressure, reduce levels of harmful cholesterol and thin the blood which can prevent heart attack. In this context eating of more CAYENNE-nothing to fear – it is nothing but capsicum annuum is considered very friendly since it dilate arteries and reduce blood pressure. Other helpful plants in the search are hawthorn-crataegus spp and ginkgo-ginkgo biloba.

Remarkably just smelling certain scents can lower our blood pressure. Essential oils used to lower blood pressure include lavender-lavandula angustifolia; rose-rosa spp ; gerenium-pelagonium graveoloens and sandalwood-santalum album.

Oh! Hats off to the great sages and rishis of INDIA. They have done something really wonderful by including sandalwood in the routine worshipping rituals. The usual practice in the traditional system to perform YAGNA is possible by generating Agni – the sacred fire by rubbing (or Agni madhan as is being called) two dry wooden sticks from the Holy Aswatha Tree. For this an apparatus is made in a convenient manner for use by the Ritviks- the pundits who are well versed with the vedic systems and who are involved in performing YAGNA. When SRI RUDRA KAMYAARCHANA VIDHI specifies that ABHISHEK is to be performed by using certain material. It is said that each item used as specified in Vedic order of life, is capable of granting certain material benefits for the human beings. This is an authorized text from ancient times and mostly it is proved to be of material use for many. Perhaps, it may be the reason that millions of people particularly HINDUs are preferring to go by the traditional system. Normally we do not like to follow certain systems even today, much worse the case years ago for the reason, old generations did not allow certain systems to come into their way of life unless they are proved to be useful and logically it reminds me that they are satisfied and are benefited and that is the reason millions have accepted. It may take some more time to find out a scientific base for the traditional acts.

It may be my belief or it may be the belief of millions of Indians – I strongly feel that it is not mere blind belief, as our fore fathers and great sages did not accept blindly anything. For logical example, when we go to a remote village, normally a new entrants habits behaviour and movements are totally tested before the villagers start believing. Similar should have been the case with the traditional Hindu rituals, they must have tested all this enough and satisfied and that should have been the reason why it is percolated down. Modern science is just making experiments to satisfy THEMSELVES to what extent the traditional systems are worthy.

In any country; for any race and for any religion the beliefs are based on their past experiences and experiments only and IT IS A FACT FOREVER whether some one agrees or otherwise. This does not mean that I go only and only on faith. I look forward many a times to what degree my faith is reasonable and LOGICAL, for the reason only LOGIC that is TARKA can take us close to the realities and values.

If you all agree with me, I can dare say that a scientist arrived to USA from India shall have all fears to eat any vegetable or fruit of USA(not commonly available in India or in USA) unless some one guarantees him that it is good and not harmful to the body. This goes to prove that even a modern scientist has to believe the experience of some one and proceed further. Thus in the similar circumstances, I can conveniently conclude that for all Indian systems, there is a strong base with reason associated with belief. Hence the traditional systems and rituals are all accepted beliefs backed by experience for the use and benefit of the Society, whether or not the modern scientist agree for the same.

I enjoyed the privilege of presenting several hundreds of topics duly analyzing them with logical reasoning that suits the wave length of material world of today. I can assure you that such presentation shall stands continued as long as I receive the requisite knowledge and inspiration from great of sages of the Holy land particularly of Naimishaaranya-the only land that posses the great treasures. Today I am inspired to write a few lines on the greatness of sound, if only it is not mistaken as mantra sastra which I was referring to when I concentrated on writing the subject –SOUND. Today the same sound is referred to the sound of Music. Listening itself is an art. Some time ago I remember to have mentioned that a good listener is always successful as long as the listener distinguishes between wanted and otherwise in the subject received by his sensing organ-ear.

Well, in today’s context music is equated to the divine Lord. It simply works as a tonic. Be it the pulsating drum beats which set the tempo for the day or the soulful strumming of guitar, peaceful notes of the piano or the melody of the flute. Experience and experiments reveal that many tough jobs are made easy by using the wonderful tonic-music. Here are the few tips to listen to music the right way for transformation and healing that generates positive energy all through.

Selection of appropriate music. In normal routine, most of us choose the tunes we like. Often the music were least attracted to will have the greatest benefit when played in the right sequence. For example when angry, the first instinct is to put on some really angry music. It looks like using symptomatic treatment as is in some sciences like Homeo etc. Therefore selecting music depends on person to person.

Music sequencing: Sometimes it is necessary to first choose music that totally matches ones mood rather than the mood one wish to acquire. Consider arranging a series of different musical compositions in sequence just for matching the need. For example if one feels depressed, select a composition which represents extreme depression. Follow immediately this with one that is only mildly depressing and then a select a neutral composition and end with a composition which is clearly uplifting and motivating. In other words, listening in a sequence helps any one to honour the current mood and then transformed.

Speakers are ideal: It is ideal to listen to the music through speakers rather than headphones so that the cells of the body themselves may “listen” the sound.

Preparation: Be relaxed, sit or lie down and take a good and long breathe. Listen to the musical composition all the way without causing an interruption. Just listen to the music while keeping away the normal tendency of most of us to tune the music and indulge in doing other acts.

Mind and body connection: A lot of research has been done which proved that there is a definite connection between mind and the body-may be referred to emotion too. Though music healing is often related to relaxations and emotions, there is a corner which can not be forgotten that this has its impact on curing physical illnesses too. In good olden days, we used to begin the day with some melody like “suprabhatam” etc which have paved the way for total sacredness of the body and mind and resultantly we enjoyed the output too. Even today, inspite of the pressure of work and related tensions, it is better we open the day with some dedication so that the day ends peacefully, purposefully, and with a better outcome than usual.

Little about left and right brain---- With regard to the structure of the brain, particularly with regard to the its dichotomy into right and left segments, the two not only look different; for the right brain is white while the left brain is grey but then their functions too vary. The left is analytical, mathematical, logical, verbal, sequential, organized, structured and deductive. The right brain is holistic, intuitive, emotional, creative, visual, musical, lateral, unorganized and spontaneous. Methods are suggested to check any one to examine the dominance of right or left. If we clasp hands together and check out which thumb is uppermost, left brainers will keep their left thumb up and right brainers will keep their right. In the process of revolution, our civilization stressed left brain activities. Our educational system also emphasizes the cultivation of the left brain so that by the time the average individual passes out from school, his creativity, sensitivity and the sense of artistry and spiritually at a discount.

That is how most spiritual masters tell us as to why we should create a balance by developing the right brain. As the right brain becomes more and more powerful, we will also find that the coincidences in the life increase. The answer to a troubling question may lie in something our friend or philosopher says or in a dream or a stray newspaper article. Meditation is said to be one of the best media to balance right and left and to develop particularly to tune into the results of right. As we allow our thoughts to float by us rather than orchestrating them or being consumer by them, our subconscious mind will surface which is the region of the right brain. Writing, drawing, singing, sculping, stitching, cooking- all these allow scope for self-expression. However the left brain is equally important for it governs areas such as discipline, a sense of organization and will power.

A hint about Mantra magic for achieving results:

Meditation is considered the best way to relieve oneself from stress that one undergoes and in the process of discharging professional and personal responsibilities and concerns. There are many ways to meditate. Chanting of HAMSA MANTRA is one among them. A mantra is a sound, word, or phrase that is repeated in a systematic manner. It could be spoken aloud, as a chant or silently. There are many mantras ranging from words taken from sanskrit to catholic prayers. Hamsa mantra is a natural mantra being the sound that one makes when breathing with "ham" on inhalation and "sa" on exhalation. One can sit comfortably at a quiet place(if possible) or tune to the quietness in a leisure time, clean the eyes, breath naturally. Then think :Ham: on the inhale and :sa: in the exhale. One should not try to control the thoughts in any way. This can be practiced gradually. The benefits are unique for each person, but both physiological and psychological balancing is common for all. The thoughts generated in the process will direct us with the answers that we need in the day to day life and UNANSWERED QUESTIONS GET A SOLUTION IN THE PROCESS.

MERA BHARAT MAHAAN: I really feel proud to write a few lines about a few places of historical and religious excellencies in our country. For that matter, when I visit nooks and corners I found something and something really interesting in each place of my visit. As every human being is great in certain aspects, like so every place. I consider that it is my fortune to have such experiences in this very very short span of life. Added to that is it really my fortune to come to highly educated and intellectual group of persons like you with my experiences.

A few days ago I had an opportunity of visiting UJJAIN in Madhya Pradesh. Like any other towns and cities it is also one in the country. Well, all that depends on the perception. If I start seeing something great, I find something really great and similarly if I do not see any value even in gold, I consider it as a worthless metal. In other words if mind set is made to analyze it will analyze. Alternatively even great events are ignored. In vedic order of life it is said –YAD BHAVAM TAD BHAVATHI- if you desire to do something , you will do it and if not , you ignore.

Ujjain is otherwise known as AVANTHIKA. There are seven cities on the earth which are capable of granting MOKSHA. These cities are said to be so sacred, they are capable of granting JEEVA -mukti.

Lakshmi Sadhana: I have already taken the privilege of bringing before you the necessity of keeping divine materials like Daskhinavrit Sankh, Arka Ganapathi, Coral and spatik maala(rosery) sadhanas and many such in the past. Now I present the Sri Adisankara Bhagavatpadas SOUNDARYA LAHARI for lakshmi saadhana. I have already written that Lakshmi saadhana should not be misunderstood as a saadhana JUST FOR FINANCIAL RICHNESS. It is a saadhana which keeps us in a state of AANANDA and make our lives memorable. Sadhana is a mode to make us to reach destination and HOLY GURU is one who keeps us informed of the shortest routes for such success. In other words it is a tool for doing some thing . For example, one desires to go to Delhi from Banglore. He may choose rail, air or road or even walk as a mode for the movement. All that depends on how fast he desires to reach his destination. In this process two things are a must; one is setting a goal and the other is selecting a mode to achieve the targeted results. Lakkshmi Sadhana is also one such mode to make us to reach the destination as per sages of ancient ages.

In the authenticated SOUNDARYA LAHARI, he has suggested certain methods for financial successes as described in 33 sloka, and 91, 92 etc. Similarly for PUTRA PRAPTI, for solving incurable illnesses etc and what not. One thing is certain that overnight results are not assured in any science, so also in this system. It all depends how best we devote ourselves to the suggested methods with all faith and devotion. We may also observe that faith is not just a word for HINDU systems alone, faith is a main component in other religions too. We do not have courage to question the faith of other religions, but unfortunately indulge in questioning the ancient practices suggested by sages. At this juncture, I apply logic and question whether we follow the systems suggested by the tradition while making out mango pickles every year or not. The answer is that “certainly we follow” , we have no exception lest the year long pickles get spoiled in no time. If this be the case, in case we accept the traditions just for making pickles, why not for others ? I do not advocate blind following for anything, our action should be supported by experience and logical reasoning which should not end in a dilemma forever. In other words, certain conclusions are necessary as time will not wait for our decisions.

It is really my fortune to refer to 89 sloka which is suggested for solving incurable ailments. Incidentally I am not in a position to mention all the slokaas here nor could I able to reproduce the diagrams, but I assure you that I shall stand by you and render my services to the best of my ability without any reward or remuneration, in case readers have specific problems or suggestions. My appeal is only that WE HAVE EXCELLENT TREASURES. Let us enjoy them to the extent we can.

Well, when I say all this I have further justification. Almighty has given us all comforts and blessed each one of us without any differentiation. He has given us excellent grinders – well built tooth which lasts for lifetime, so also eyes and other organs. Sometimes, we abuse the VARADAAN of Lord by excessively utilizing the tools like, go on chewing pan masaala etc and reduce the life granted to the tools.

A word: Actually I thought of bringing SURYAKSHETRA in all languages onto a single paper. Some how I am not happy for the trail I made a few days ago, for the simple reason neither I could complete one subject fully nor I could concentrate on a particular matter. As such I am of the opinion that it will be better to bring out the paper in all other languages as is being done till such time the Aanandaashramam takes over the assignment fully. The Hindi version of the paper purely contains MANTRA, TANTRA AND YANTRA vignan while the Telugu version contains only LAKSHMIJI SADHANA. The English version is as usual contains different subjects on different topics. If any one is interested to have a copy from a different language, it can be arranged by me. The Ashramam work is yet to gain momentum and the main reason is finance and time. Any way poor students who have received financial aid from the Aanandaashramam are happy. The Aashramam is now aiming for supply of drinking water to the poor at a few points in Hyderabad during this summer.

TANTRA: This sound is mostly an unwanted sound for most of the Indians, for it appears to perform an act not acceptable to the Society. This is not correct. Fact is that when we intend to perform a ritual or say give shape to some MANTRA , it is nothing but Tantra. In this, one is SADAACHARA TANTRA and the other VAMAACHARA TANTRA. Normally sadaachara Tantra is followed in any Indian house regularly like performing POOJAAS etc. while chanting mantraas. This Tantric act is believed to bring results more faster than mere chanting of mantraas. The ancient texts like RUDRAKAAMYAARCHANA VIDHI , it is reiterated that the Lord grants all pleasures when worshipped with cow milk; RAJYA PRAPTHI when worshipped with rice; PUTRA PRAAPTHI WITH sugandhodak water etc. This is from an authorised text and readers are invited to our house to go through it.

Persons who still do not believe that Tantra is an accepted act, may refer to HH SRI SHANKARA BHAGAVATPAD - SOUNDARYA LAHARI. Innumerable methods are described in it which form part of TANTRIC method. Men are given an assurance that there is nothing for them non – achievable.

I do admit, Tantra vidhi is like Electricity. Electricity is a killer, no doubt about it. At the same time it brings life into our lives and to-day we cannot assume ourselves without the POWER. To say, inspite of the fact that the POWER is a killer, we do admire it and welcome it cautiously. So much so is the TANTRA in my opinion.

Feng Shui: I have been repeatedly bringing onto this that nothing comes in to my way to draw useful matters from several other religious texts as long as remain useful to the society and its men. FENG SHUI is from China and it is nothing but a VAASTU SASTRA. In the recent past VAASTU CONSULTANTS have frightened us enough by asking us to remove main structure in the building and reconstruct ; remove toilets and keep them away like. Finally they made enough money while heavily forcing to go for unproductive expenses. I do not say that VAASTU is not correct. It is certainly an accepted science. I know several buildings particularly in Andhra Pradesh , Delhi etc were rebuilt on these grounds. Feng Shui at this stage brought enough relief for the public, for, it mainly focusses on little and affordable changes in a house or establishment etc. The five main elements are taken into consideration in Feng Shui and reliefs are suggested. I desire to bring a few tips for the benefit of the readers on this subject so that every reader can equip himself with the desired or desirable information on this subject.

Lakshmi Sadhana: “ Sankhustapana” is known as a preliminary ritual for commencement of Construction, may it be a residential house or otherwise. I have been quite often quoting Dakshinavrit sankh while describing about the Lakshmi Sadhana. It is felt essential by the Hindu religious texts as well by vastu sastra. The science of construction is describted in Vastu Sastra. Dakshinavrit Sankh being the replica of Goddess Lakshmi - the Goddess of wealth, is considered to be of help to the inmates for their peace and prosperity. These days, I have seen number of owners just performing BHOOMI POOJA without factually putting the Sankh. It is to be remembered that the basic material needed for “Sankhustaapana” is “sankh”. Therefore I request that Dakshinavrit sankh, Nava Dhanyaalu, nine gems, cow milk, gold, silver and copper pieces are invariably put into the pit preferably on the North Eastern side of the building proposed to be constructed. Thus the advantages of using divine material like the aforesaid are far from description. It IS FOUND ALL-WAYS ADVANTAGEOUS TO FOLLOW THE ADVISES OF ANCIENT RISHIS/MASTERS.

The power of listening: Of late, enough impatience is seen in almost all and everyone is busy in his own style. I do not find fault with their style of living, however, I only feel that one should have patience to listen to others, for the reason, a listener is always successful. Logically , a listener gets ample opportunities to get information from the communications of the other side. A option is always with the listener to distinguish between what is wanted and what is not and further to retain the needy information for his benefit. Thus by listening , it is certain one will gain. Secondly, a listener creates confidence amongst others that he cares others. This is certain to improve the circle for the listener. Sometime ago I had the opportunity of speaking on the five channels arranged by the Lord and the power of ear, out of ears, eyes, nose, tongue and the skin. The power of ear i.e. the ART of listening is certainly a peculiar power which can take any one close to success.

From this month onwards, I desire to bring SURYAKSHETRA of all languages on this. This is initially an attempt before the paper is handed over to AANANDAASHRAMAM for its full length publication in the form of a MAGAZINE.

With the divine blessings of the Holy spirits of revered Gurujis more particularly HH Sri Sri Sri Ganesananda Bharathi Mahaaswamiji, the Aanandaashramam is planning to initially grant SHOLARSHIP to the deserving poor students and accordingly trying for the fund. Dakshinavrit Sankh is a very nice apparatus in my experience. It is a shell from Sea. Normal Sankhs might
have been seen by everyone of us. This is a rare specious and its opening is to our right hand side unlike other usual sankhs for which the opening is to our left hand side. Many ancient scripts have written about it and its uses. It is a very good apparatus for acquiring financial gains; for acquiring good health; for child welfare; for retention of wealth and so on. As Lakshmi is said to have taken birth from sea, one of the specious of this rare quality sankh is also believed to have been born with it. The sankh is also believed to be a purifier. A little water is to be put into the sankh and sprayed in the house, is believed to purify the climate besides helping for retention of the wealth of the house. I have seen childless being blessed with children when the couple drink a little milk before bed time through this sankh. I am Dr P V Sesha Sai and I started this one page paper way back in 1980s. My desire is to make the reader know about different subjects in a nutshell instead of reading volumes about a particular subject. I have noticed that people are put to lot of stress and unable to locate their leisure time for important and select items of literature. I developed the concept of one page reading only with an intention to provide an opportunity to the reader about the subject and the subject is described in as little words as possible. At the initial stage of writing this paper, the electronic mechanism was not existant and hence it was written on a type writer and sent through post to some of the like minded people. Over a period of time I could not preserve some of the papers and when I liked all the papers to be reprocured, some people helped me to get back copies of my papers. Due to these problems all papers could not be produced in the blog. Some of them are numbered and some of them are just like that.

Due to cost factor to send the papers through post, over a period of time, despatch of the paper was discontinued. In 1990s this paper was cyclostyled and sent and gradually switched to this electronic system. And now -------------------------please go through
